Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart says he wants to stay at the club for the rest of his career and is close to signing his new contract.
Hart, 27, has reportedly been in discussions with the club over a possible new five-year deal for months.
"As far as I am aware it is pretty much sorted," the England keeper said. "I want to be here as long as I can."
Hart joined City from Shrewsbury for £600,000 in 2006 and has won two Premier League titles with the club.
"I love this place and I love everything about Manchester City," he said. "I have been here for a long time. I feel like it is my club now."
Hart's existing contract is due to expire in 2016, but he is confident his long-term future at the Etihad will be sorted soon.
He said: "I am very happy at this club and hopefully in the near future I will be signing that contract."
Reports suggest, external the new deal could be worth around £120,000 per week, which would underline his status as City's preferred choice, despite the arrival of Willy Caballero from Malaga in the summer.
Hart temporarily lost his place to the Argentinian at the start of the season, but returned in top form and produced another outstanding display on Wednesday as City secured a place in the Champions League last 16 with a 2-0 away win at Roma.
He said: "I feel good at the moment and the team is working well. I feel like I am doing my bit and the boys are doing it at the other end."
Hart's team-mates Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany and David Silva all signed new five-year deals at the Etihad Stadium during the summer.
