James Wesolowski: Shrewsbury midfielder to undergo knee surgery

Shrewsbury Town midfielder James Wesolowski is likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Wesolowski, who was taken off 17 minutes into Saturday's 3-0 home win over Hartlepool, has ruptured two ligaments in his knee.
And, following a scan, the 27-year-old Australian must undergo an operation.
"Weso has ruptured the MCL and ACL ligaments in his knee and will need an operation on this," said Shrewsbury physio Chris Skitt.

James Wesolowski suffered his cruellest break this season when he missed the Capital One Cup fourth round tie at home to Chelsea in October after being injured in the warm-up |
"It will take place sometime in the next four weeks as we need to allow the swelling to go down and his knee to settle before the operation.
"The injury will keep him out for a sustained time. The prognosis is that he will probably be out for the rest of the season. Hopefully there will be better news after the operation."
Town had already feared the worst, having brought in another combative midfielder, Fleetwood Town's Keith Southern, on loan for the rest of the season on Monday.
Boss Micky Mellon has not had much luck with midfield signings this season, having also lost Andy Robinson because of knee trouble after just three games, back in August.
