Andrew Driver has signed a short-term deal with Aberdeen until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The former Hearts midfielder, who had been training with the Dons, joins after a spell in Major League Soccer in the USA with Houston Dynamo.

Manager Derek McInnes told the Aberdeen website: "I'm delighted to get Andy on board.

"Hopefully he will make the most of this opportunity we've given him."

Driver, 27, has represented both Scotland Under-16s and England Under-21s - and spent seven years at Hearts before leaving in 2013.

"During his time with us, I believe there has been enough to suggest that he can be a good addition to our squad," added McInnes.
