Shrewsbury Town have made their seventh summer signing by bringing in left winger Junior Brown on a one-year deal.

Former Crewe Alexandra trainee Brown, 26, finished last season at Mansfield, helping to keep them in League Two.

But he was offered the chance to move a level higher with promoted League One side Shrewsbury, linking up again with Town boss Micky Mellon, who first signed him for Fleetwood in June 2010.

"He knows how to get the best out of me so the chance to come and play under him was a no-brainer really."
