Swansea City are closing in on the permanent signings of South Korean forward Eom Ji-Sung and Portuguese midfielder Goncalo Franco.
Swansea have agreed a deal with South Korean side Gwangjun for Eom, 22, and reached an agreement with Portuguese top-flight club Moreirense for 23-year-old Franco.
Both are expected in Wales this week to complete medicals at Championship side Swansea, who are yet to make a signing this summer.
Head coach Luke Williams has numerous vacancies to fill in his squad after a string if departures since the end of last season.
Eom, who has one senior South Korea cap, is regarded as a left-winger or central attacking midfielder.
Franco, who played 33 games in Portugal’s Liga last season, is a more defensive midfield player.
Born in Porto, he began his senior career at Leixoes before switching in 2020 to Moreirense, where he has made more than 100 senior appearances.
Gwangju announced last week that Eom, who has four seasons of senior football under his belt, would be moving to Swansea.
While there has been no confirmation yet from the Welsh club, they are understood to be confident that both Eom and Franco will soon be unveiled as Swansea players.
Swansea head coach Luke Williams told BBC Sport Wales in June that they were looking at players all over the planet in their bid to compete with sides boasting much greater financial power in the English second tier.
Last January, Swansea signed Brazilian winger Ronald from Gremio Anapolis after he had spent 18 months on loan at Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora.
