Brenna Lovera scored the winning goal for Glasgow City against Motherwell

Glasgow City are all but out of the SWPL title race despite their narrow 2-1 victory over Motherwell.

After a goalless first half at K-Park, it was Motherwell who struck first when Bailley Collins found the back of the net with half an hour left on the clock.

Nicole Kozlova bundled home the equaliser from a City corner before Brenna Lovera converted from the spot with less than 10 minutes on the clock.

Although the victory means City are not arithmetically out of the title race, they need Rangers to win at home to Hibs on Sunday and they themselves will need to beat Hearts by more than 27 goals in order to claim the trophy.

Leanne Ross' side are still in with a shout of a UWCL spot on the final day. For that to happen, they need to win and hope Rangers lose or draw.
