Hibernian go into a final-day showdown with Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday knowing a point will clinch a first SWPL title in almost 20 years after victory over Celtic.

Ciara Grant opened the scoring for the league leaders after just five minutes at Meadowbank when she bent a free-kick into the back of the net.

Kathleen McGovern's nine-minute double midway through the first half put Hibs three up and in control before Saoirse Noonan pulled one back.

Eilidh Adams re-established Hibs dominance five minutes into the second half when she fired beyond Lisa Rodgers.

And although Hibs captain Siobhan Hunter turned the ball into the back of her own net following a corner to give Celtic a second, the deposed champions couldn't trouble the hosts any further.

The victory means Grant Scott's side head to Ibrox for their final game of the season three points clear of Rangers, who do have a far superior goal difference so would win the title themselves with a victory.
