City goalscorer Jill Roord on her ACL injury: “It is I think for every player like a nightmare. It was maybe naive - I thought it wouldn't happen to me, but then it happened to me.

“It is difficult, it's very lonely the whole road being in the gym every day alone. You see the girls coming in and going out after 20 minutes, you have to stay for a few hours. It’s very difficult, I just dealt with it, now looking back it was a sad time but I appreciate football more now. I enjoy football again being on the pitch, with the team, training every day.

“Before everything becomes so automatic - I've played for so long so it's been sad but also good. I appreciate everything more now.”

Leicester have done it!

It's a first win of the season for the Foxes, boss Amandine Miquel's first in charge in the WSL, and it ends a club run of 12 league games without a win.

Everton remain winless and rock bottom of the table with only two points to their name.

Sam Tierney takes it to the corner flag to eat up some valuable seconds but she is crowded out and gives away a goal kick.

Everton boss Brian Sorensen has lamented his side's lack of cutting edge countless times this season and it appears that it will come to cost them yet again this afternoon.

Leicester almost punished!

Two chances in as many minutes for Everton but they fail to take either of them!

Emma Bissell's low cross causes chaos in the Leicester six yard box but they somehow clear before an attacker can poke home.

Then Toni Payne hangs a wonderful cross up to Justine Vanhaevermaet but the Belgian slams her header wide of the target.

How have Leicester not sealed it there?

Janice Cayman slides a square pass to Asmita Ale in the six yard box but Ale pokes her shot over the bar.

A final throw of the dice for Everton?

Emma Bissell comes on in place of Veatriki Sarri on the wing.

West Ham do nearly steal it! A free-kick to the back post is headed down by sub Dagny Brynjarsdóttir, it is going to bounce in but Daphne van Domselaar does well to get across and make the save.

Another Everton corner is delivered into the middle with the aim of reaching the head of the towering Justine Vanhaevermaet.

Janina Leitzig bravely rushes out of her goal to claim the ball in the air among a sea of bodies in the six yard box.

Leicester head clear Sara Holmgaard's initial curling delivery, but Everton pick up the loose ball, opting to throw in a series of further crosses to no avail.

The attacking spell ends with a free kick to Leicester, with Justine Vanhaevermaet being pulled up for a high foot.

More tricky running from Toni Payne earns Everton a free kick midway through the Leicester half.
