    Arsenal continue to probe.

  3. Postpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time

    Leicester 1-0 Everton

Deanne Rose has been such a bright spark for Leicester so far, so assured and positive on this her first start of the campaign.

She nicks the ball off Lucy Hope on the halfway line before darting towards the Everton box, halted only by the covering challenge of Justine Vanhaevermaet.

    West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal's approach play continues to be easy on the eye but they lack that killer final pass so far. It's all a bit slow and predictable too.

  5. CLOSE!published at 16:09 British Summer Time

FT: Man City 2-1 Aston Villa

    Manchester City

    Jill RoordImage source, PA Media

Scorer of the winning goal, Jill Roord on BBC Two: "I'm very happy I got my first one [goal since returning from injury]. I was quite optimistic from the start, mentally I dealt with it well. I just wanted to be back as soon as possible and trained, worked hard every day, listened to the medical staff.”

On her goal: "I knew [Lauren] Hemp expected me to be there. I knew she'd play that ball. She did in the first half, I didn’t execute it, the timing was good and the finish I didn’t even think I just went for it.

"Lauren is very easy for me to play with, I just have to pass her the ball and she does the work. She's an amazing player and I think we work really well together on the left side. I’m happy to play with her again."

On the competition for places: “We have such a good squad, big squad, many players, many games so it is also necessary.

“For me, although I’ve played a lot of games already, it’s not realistic to play Sunday, Wednesday, Sunday now so with Viv [Vivianne Miedema] coming in who can also play there, she can play nine. We've got a lot of players so it's nice, competition in training, the level is really good.”

They have! A good point for Palace but to be honest they had the better chances and could well have won that.

  17. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time

    Liverpool 1-1 Crystal Palace

That gusty wind sends a free-kick too long and out of play as flags behind the goal are nearly at a right angle now...

  18. 'Mind-bending stuff!'published at 15:44 British Summer Time

    Liverpool 1-1 Crystal Palace

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at St Helens Stadium

Palace have done brilliantly to hold their own today. They've survived sustained pressure and still look lively on the break.

And just to give you a bit of an update on the wind... two sides of this ground are open, so the wind runs through from left to right on Liverpool's left flank. But... the other two sides are closed... so the wind then carries on and whips round the corners to blow the other way on the right hand side. Mind-bending stuff!

  19. Postpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time

    Liverpool 1-1 Crystal Palace

Into the last five minutes. Can either side find that decisive third goal?!

  20. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time

    West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

This is better from Arsenal, they have West Ham pegged back now and look dangerous. Alessia Russo does more good work on the right but can't pick out a team-mate before Lia Wälti drills in a low shot which is well saved by Kinga Szemik.
