Tick, tick, tick...kick-off is getting closer!

It's just over three hours before kick-off and fans are already outside the stadium in Bilbao.

There are more Tottenham fans than Manchester United supporters milling around, which maybe underlines the fact that the game itself - or at least the trophy - means more to Spurs, who haven’t won anything for 17 years.

Son Heung-min and Ben Davies are the only players remaining from their last major final, the 2019 Champions League, which Spurs lost to Liverpool.

We have been running a poll at the top of the page for a while now.

The question is simple: Who will win the Europa League final?

At present, Manchester United are edging it, with 54% of you tipping them to beat Tottenham.

Not long to go now until we find out...just over three hours to kick-off.

I just told my mum I was nervous about the game tonight and she said ‘are you playing?’. She will never understand the pain it has been being a lifelong Spurs fan. Let’s win this boys.

    Kam

I'm supposed to be watching the game in the pub with some mates tonight but if we go behind I might have to sneak out and watch the rest in my car.

I think Manchester United and Tottenham are delighted that they are in the Europa League final and have a chance of doing something really good at the end of a very difficult season.

Tottenham v Man Utd (20:00 BST)

Talking about bragging rights, Joseph, imagine how Ange Postecoglou would feel if he led Spurs to a trophy in his second season?

"I always win things in my second year. Nothing has changed. I don't say things unless I believe them."

Those were the words of Postecoglou back in September 2024 after his team were beaten 1-0 against north London rivals, Arsenal.

Since then, the quote has followed Postecoglou throughout the season, and tonight he gets an opportunity to prove he was right.

If Manchester United win tonight, they will have had a better season than Arsenal. If Spurs win tonight, they will have the bragging rights in north London for years to come until Arsenal find success in Europe.

Tottenham and Manchester United fans will be allowed into San Mames Stadium three hours before kick-off at 17:00 BST - 18:00 local time.

There are no plans for a police escort to the ground but there are recommended routes to take each set of fans to their entrance of the ground.

With a 21:00 kick-off local time - and the trophy ceremony after the final - celebrations are expected to conclude around 23:30 local time - if the final is decided in normal time.

If there’s extra time or penalties, the action on the pitch could continue until 00:15 Thursday local time.

  16. Who has the best trophy record?published at 15:57 British Summer Time 21 May

Tottenham v Man Utd (20:00 BST)

So it's all on the line for both managers tonight as Tottenham's Ange Postecoglou and Manchester United's Ruben Amorim look for their first trophy in charge of an English club.

But it's not their first rodeo - they have both won silverware abroad with previous clubs.

Postecoglou, 59, has the bigger trophy haul - 11 to Amorim's five - although he has been managing a lot longer than his 40-year-old opposite number.

Gary and Richard have come to a mutual agreement - Richard the Tottenham fan wants silverware, while Manchester United-supporting Gary would settle for Champions League qualification.

It's a debate, but probably not one worth having at this late stage.

Tonight's winner gets both, the loser goes home empty-handed.

There is no escaping the fact - THIS IS HUGE!

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Political commentator Michael Crick, who is a Manchester United fan in Bilbao, has been speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live ahead of tonight's Europa League final.

“I’ve just enjoyed a very good lunch at a Basque fish restaurant," said Crick.

"It’s pretty good [weather], nice and warm, pretty much how it was when I left London. We’re expecting a little bit of rain this evening, but hopefully we’re undercover.

“It’s a big game, and it’s a bit of a ridiculous position that this is a game involving teams in England who are 16th and 17th in the Premier League, just above the relegation zone.”

Former Portugal winger Nani, who helped Manchester United win the Champions League in 2008, has been speaking with BBC Sport editor Dan Roan about the importance of the Europa League final to his former club:

"Every game is important for Manchester United - it's a big responsibility to wear this shirt," he said.

"We know this moment is special for players and fans. A final is always special.

"The most important thing is to win the game, and then everything we achieve after that will come with that victory."
