  2. Three major issues for Amorimpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 21 May

Spurs v Man Utd (20.00 BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport chief football news reporter in Bilbao

The biggest issues for Ruben Amorim tonight centre around three areas in defence, midfield and attack.

That sounds big but it is specifics. Noussair Mazraoui will start, the question is where? If Diogo Dalot is fit it will be in the back three. If not, it will be as wing-back, with two of Leny Yoro, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw named alongside Harry Maguire.

In midfield, does skipper Bruno Fernandes partner Casemiro or does Manuel Ugarte get the job, with Fernandes more advanced.

If Fernandes is deeper, has Mason Mount got a chance of keeping out Amad Diallo or Alejandro Garnacho?

Spurs fan here. Hope the final defies the negativity and creates a showpiece for the game, albeit one level below the club pinnacle. Re Ange. There would have been thousands of Spurs fans saying this pre-season, “I’d gladly finish 17th if it means we win a trophy” Don’t forget that, my fellow Spurs supporters. It’s true.

    Lee

Spurs might be under less pressure: decent squad, great stadium, opportunity for glory. A dud season in the league but probably a blip. For Man Utd it feels more existential: a club in a downward spiral.

Combined XIs are some of the most contentious concepts in all of modern media - so we're putting the onus onto you.

We are going to post the stats of each of the most likely starter in each position for Man Utd and Spurs, and you use your thumbs to vote on who you would pick.

    Let's start with the keepers...

Tottenham v Man Utd (20:00 BST)

    Andy Mitten
Editor of United We Stand on the Football News Show

Casemiro has really shone in Europe.

Tottenham are missing key players, but United are aware that you can't leave Casemiro exposed.

Physically, Man Utd have dominated most of their rivals in the Europa League.

They're the only unbeaten team out of the 100 teams who entered the three main European competitions.

  18. 'Fernandes is the key for United'published at 14:11 British Summer Time 21 May

Tottenham v Man Utd (20:00 BST)

    Michael Brown
Former Tottenham midfielder on The Football News Show

What's important is the experience of Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes.

If I'm playing in midfield for Spurs it's whoever can get near to him [Bruno Fernandes]. He will drift away from the holding midfield position as he has that flexibility to move into the areas.

Fernandes is the key for United. He's been the leader, he's delivered assists and goals.

He's dragged that team right throughout [the season].

Really hoping for a Spurs win tonight but I have a funny feeling the game will be decided by a swan dive from Bruno in the area “winning” a penalty and taking the trophy home.

According to the Premier League website, Fernandes has scored 22 penalties for Manchester United since his move from Sporting Lisbon. Three of those penalties were converted this season.

Son Heung-min always has the ability to be effective.

Even though he's 32-years-old, he still has that turn of pace, but for some reason this season it has not happened.

If James Maddison and Dejan Kuluveski were fit, maybe he wouldn't start, but with them being injured it's the perfect opportunity for him to play.
