Jacob Wakeling's double helped Solihull Moors claim their first National League win of the season as they edged out Boston.

Wakeling, who completed a permanent move from Peterborough this week, struck after a quarter of an hour when he sprinted into the area and rifled beyond Rhys Lovett, which went in off the crossbar.

Oscar Rutherford forced a fine save from Lovett shortly before Boston equalised two minutes before the interval as excellent link-up play led to Jordy Hiwula firing home.

But Wakeling had the final say 12 minutes from time with another driving run and finish to give Solihull, who had lost their last four fixtures after starting the season with three draws, an overdue win.
