    First up on today's news conference front we had Fabian Hurzeler who was speaking about summer transfer rumours potentially impacting the form of Carlos Baleba: "We are now four months into the season, we can't speak about these rumours anymore. It's about being a Brighton player, it's about performing here and getting him back to his best level.

    "Avoid the noise, avoid all the rumours, and focus on things you can influence and the things you do best. That's football."

    I think when looking at the odds for next Leeds manager if Farke is sacked anytime soon. I’d say the sensible decision would be to bring in Brendan Rodgers. A lot will disagree here but he’s a proven premier league manager. I’d be the ideal candidate for the job.

    It is ridiculous the short space of time a manager gets nowadays. If they are on a contract the duration of it should be honoured. I know it's all about results but some of the managers don't even get any time to bring in their own signings.

    Some managers aren't given time to impose their style at a club. Some aren't allowed time to bring in players or even have a say what players come into a club. Just told that they are to use them. So clubs need to access what they want.

    "The goal at the start of the season was to finish 17th or above. To finish 17th would be a great success because no other team in the last promoted sides has had the chance to stay in this league.

    Leeds United boss Daniel Farke on availability for the game against Man City: "Overall, many players are training. Anton Stach will definitely miss the Man City game due to the concussion protocol. If everything works, he will be allowed to return to training Sunday.

    "Sadly, Sean Longstaff will miss the game, he is out with a calf injury. He is expected to be out 4-6 weeks, so we will miss him for a while. It's of course not ideal.

    "Sebastien Bornauw is a doubt, he has some MCL problems. He missed training yesterday and today, it will be a late call about his availability."

    Midfielder Sean Longstaff will be out for around four to six weeks with a calf injury he picked up in the 2-1 defeat by Aston Villa.

  13. Leeds face tough run of fixtures

    After a promising start to the season taking seven points from their first five games, Leeds' form has taken a big dip in recent weeks.

    They've lost four of their last five league games, their only points coming in a 2-1 home win over West Ham.

    If any Leeds fans were hoping for an easier run of fixtures to help turn their season around, they'd be bitterly disappointed looking at the clubs next three fixtures.

    Daniel Farke's side have Man City away, Chelsea at home, followed by Liverpool at home in their next three outings.

    Currently sitting 18th and inside the relegation zone, three defeats in those games would put the club in a very difficult spot heading into a busy festive period of football - but is Farke the man to get this side out of trouble?

    Let's just be clear why Leeds are in the mess they are. Sure, a lot of it is to do with Farke's selection and in-game management but the recruitment in the summer simply wasn't good enough. That's on the board

    Farke replacement may well get us fitter and better defensively. However quality up front and lack of goals will be our down fall. Fear as always with relegation how it will impact the club financially. Pick up some points prior to Christmas and good January transfers only hope.

    "We know we have a plan each game to play with, and it's football; things happen. We need to adapt to certain games depending on which team you're playing and their qualities. We have to accept sometimes that we are losing, and when we are winning, we are winning.

    "When we are playing at home, we feel very good - I think everyone can see that as well. But when we are playing away, we need to step up. The performances are there, but we just need to make sure we get the points.

    "It's such a good group of players. We are so close to each other and want to help each other all the time. We are not focusing on [poor results] too much. We know we have a big game ahead, and we are going to help each other.

    "It's only November and nothing is going to be decided here. We are all sticking together and working hard. We know what we can do, we have a good group - and we will figure this out."

    The team are breaking records from over 70 years ago by how horrific their form is. I know he won the title last season, but I cannot see a solution right now, and I cannot see Slot solving this crisis. He has to go.

    "I am feeling safe, I am OK, I have got a lot of support from above.

    "It would be nice to turn it around and get a victory of course but if you are working as a coach and not doing well then it is normal that questions are asked.

    "I am OK with my position. It is not the first time I've been in a difficult position but it is about time that we turned it around.

    "In the normal conversations we have I feel the trust. But I haven't spoken to them after this game yet so let's see."
