Liverpool boss Matt Beard conceded that his side are "a little bit behind where we should be" ahead of their trip to Tottenham this weekend.

The Reds took two draws from their opening two games of the season against Leicester City and West Ham, taking the lead in both games before being made to settle for a point from each.

Despite this Beard says that he is "not concerned or worried" about his side's slow start.

"It’s so early in the season. There are still 20 league games to play, so I am not concerned or worried.

He added, "Yes we are ambitious and want to break into the top three, so does every other club in the WSL."

Frustrations for Leila Ouahabi who does really well down the left-hand side, cuts it back from the byline but no one in a blue shirt can pick it up. She was looking for Laura Blindkidle-Brown but no joy.

West Ham get up the other end and it's a delightful ball into the area for Riko Ueki but Kerstin Casparij beats her to it and turns behind for a corner.

Some of Manchester City's passing has been brilliant but there has been the odd loose one in there. So far West Ham have been unable to capitalise on the mistakes.

The gloomy weather here in Manchester matches the tone of the match so far. It's not been a great one.

West Ham look more organised and are frustrating City. And Gareth Taylor's side are lacking real rhythm.

Lauren Hemp's quick dart across the edge of the West Ham box gives the fans a lift though, and they start banging the drums.
