Much better from Man City and it's got the crowd going. "We love you Jill Roord," they sing to our right as she almost doubles the lead.
The referees have had issues with their communication devices too so they have had to go sort them out.
Lauren Hemp (10 mins)
Mary Fowler does really well on the outside of the area to get the ball out of her feet with three defenders around her.
She manages to find Lauren Hemp who is also being swarmed by a couple of West Ham players but the winger shifts back onto her left to find some space and pokes into the back of the net.
Lovely finish and that's more like it from Manchester City.
Man City 0-0 West Ham
A first real opportunity of the game for Manchester City as Leila Ouahabi cuts it back from the byline for Mary Fowler and the Australian forward hits it first time with the side of her foot but it's a decent save from Kinga Szemik.
Man City 0-0 West Ham
The rhythm isn't quite there for Manchester City in these opening exchanges. It's all a little bit disjointed.
West Ham have started brightly.

A really strange start by Manchester City. The kick-off was a bit of a scramble, then there's two stray passes from Yui Hasegawa (which you don't often see), before a dangerous ball in behind almost catches them out. Viviane Asseyi should have left it for Riko Ueki who was onside!
Man City 0-0 West Ham
That came from Manchester City passing the ball around nonchalantly in their own half. West Ham put the pressure on and were alert to a couple of City mistakes.
Bit of an odd start from the home side.
Man City 0-0 West Ham
Viviane Asseyi thinks she has got her side off to the perfect start after her deflected shot dribbled over the line but the offside flag shot up.
A let off for Manchester City inside two minutes.

Away we go in our first Women's Super League match of the day.
Man City v West Ham (13:00 BST)
Here come the teams on a bit of a grey day in Manchester. A congested schedule for Manchester City at the moment, will Gareth Taylor's squad rotation backfire or pay off?

The stats for this one do not bode well for West Ham...

There is a relaxed atmosphere here this lunchtime as Manchester City chase a second successive home victory in the WSL.
Blue Moon, the club's official mascot, was dancing as fans entered through the turnstiles an hour and a half before kick-off.
Manager Gareth Taylor walked into the stadium behind his players in the south east stand entrance and waved to supporters nearby.
I went to speak to some members of the official supporters' club as they were handing out badges and merchandise to fellow fans. They feel confident of a big win today.
West Ham have had a tough summer in terms of their recruitment but they did pick up a valuable point against Liverpool last weekend.
However, Manchester City have won 10 of their 11 WSL meetings with West Ham. Half of those victories were by a four-goal margin or more.
FT: Brighton 4-2 Aston Villa
We've already had one Women's Super League match this weekend with Brighton beating Aston Villa on Saturday in an eventful match with six goals and two red cards.
Nikita Parris scored on her full Brighton debut while former Chelsea midfielder Fran Kirby was also on the scoresheet.
Aston Villa, under new manager Robert De Pauw, twice threw away one-goal leads and remain winless in three league matches.

Man City v West Ham (13:00 BST)
Manchester City midfielder Jill Roord joined BBC Radio 5 Live's Women's Football Weekly podcast to discuss her return from injury, 249 days after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament.
On how it felt to come on against Brighton at the weekend: "I didn’t think much about it, I didn’t really know what to expect and I just wanted to go out there and enjoy. But the reaction from the crowd was really nice and just a proud moment. A memory I will never forget."
On if she felt nervous going into challenges after her ACL injury: "Before getting back training with the team I was a bit worried that I would feel scared. But so far I haven’t. I feel really confident because I feel really strong and stronger than before."
On whether she was relentless in her recovery: "From day one I have been really focussed on getting back as soon as possible as good as possible. The whole journey was tough, but I enjoyed that feeling of getting better every day. I wasn’t too down when it happened, that helped me a lot. It’s been tough but I’m happy that I can feel this excitement again playing football."
On what she wants to achieve this season: "Win the league. We should have won it last year but we gave it away. We have such a good team and we are very ambitious and we still know the feeling from last season so that is definitely the goal."

One of the big differences for West Ham this season has been a change in formation at the back.
They lost some key players in the summer and full-back Kirsty Smith has been out with a shoulder injury so manager Rehanne Skinner told me on Friday her decision to switch to a back three was partly due to personnel.
But she also says it's a system which suits the strengths of the team - though they still hope to be able to play in a back four when needed.
"At the moment, it has felt like the better fit for us. That isn’t to say we won’t play in a back four because we did in pre-season," she added.
"We want to have the tactical flexibility to do what we think feels right against the opposition, as well as for us."
They will have their hands full this afternoon dealing with Manchester City's attacking threat, though they will be pleased to see Vivianne Miedema, Khadija Shaw and Aoba Fujino all on the bench.
But Skinner hopes if West Ham can defend as a team, they can frustrate City.
Man City v West Ham (13:00 BST)
Manchester City striker Khadija Shaw has been speaking to BBC Sport this week about being a role model for young black girls who want to play football.
The 27-year-old Jamaica international has taken the Women's Super League by storm following her move to City in 2021.
She was last season's top scorer in the WSL as Gareth Taylor's side finished runners-up to champions Chelsea on goal difference.
"When I look back at my childhood, I didn’t really have a lot of people I could look to - apart from Usain Bolt of course," Shaw, who debuted for Jamaica in 2015, told BBC Sport.
"I didn’t have a lot of people who I could look to and say ‘I want to be like that.’ One of the main reasons was that I wasn’t really allowed to play.
"Now, looking at where the game is and where it is going, I think there is more room for that.
"For me, it’s just being alive and being in the moment. It’s staying true to who I am. Hopefully by doing that each and every day, it works out in the end."
Former England striker Ellen White said it is "shocking that player welfare is not Uefa's priority" after the women's football world were left frustrated by the news that Chelsea v Manchester United would be postponed because of a conflict with the Blues' European schedule.
Player welfare continues to be a major concern with several high-profile players and managers questioning major organisations, such as Fifa and Uefa, as international calendars expand and European competitions increase.
Moving the WSL match to Saturday, 5 October was out of the question because of Manchester United's schedule and ultimately, the lack of wiggle room plays into a bigger discussion on scheduling in the women's game.
Fans have also lost out with many having already booked travel and accommodation.
We are missing one match from today's Women's Super League schedule after Chelsea's match at home to Manchester United was postponed at a week's notice.
It has been called off because of a conflict with the Blues' European schedule.
Chelsea's Women's Champions League group game at home to Real Madrid has been scheduled for just two days after the United game - on Tuesday, 8 October.
Chelsea said that "numerous discussions" have taken place to seek an "amicable solution to this scheduling conflict" but they proved unsuccessful.
A club statement added: "It is therefore with sincere regret that we are left with no other option than to confirm the postponement of next weekend’s WSL fixture.
"We are extremely disappointed with the outcome but wish to reiterate that player welfare and the impact on our supporters are of the utmost importance to us."
A new date for the WSL game, which was scheduled to be broadcast live on Sky Sports, is yet to be confirmed. Ticket refunds will be available up to 48 hours before that date.
The decision has sparked outrage around the women's football world.
