Abraham, Manchester: As a neutral watching the game yesterday, I cannot express how exciting PSG’s football is. First time in 10 years they actually look like a team, and a team that can genuinely compete for the Champions League.

Mac, Gloucester: Re Barry @ 07.19 - PSG are a very different beast now from the version Arsenal played in the group stage. After losing 3 of their first 5 CL matches, they have been the form team in Europe since.

David, Luton: Over the two legs PSG deserved to go through, albeit on penalties. They were brilliant in Paris. Last night they carried a real threat. Liverpool were unlucky to draw PSG as they look the real deal and will now be favourites to win the CL.

As mentioned, Simone Inzaghi's Inter Milan will face Bayern Munich in April as they continue their quest to reach a second Champions League final in three seasons.

They reached the Champions League quarter-finals with victory over Feyenoord at San Siro Stadium.

Marcus Thuram jinked into the box and fired into the top corner as Inter went 1-0 up on the night and 3-0 ahead on aggregate.

Hakan Calhanoglu was penalised for clattering into the back of Jakub Moder and the former Brighton midfielder scored from the spot to give Feyenoord hope.

But Turkey international Calhanoglu made up for his error after the break, converting a penalty after Thomas Beelen fouled Mehdi Taremi in the box.

What a great game of football. As penalties loomed I wondered which Liverpool players would/could take them. Salah and who else? Who felt confident about Nunez scoring one? PSG are a quality team, no shame in losing to them. If offered almost certainty of winning Premier League and nothing else at the start of the season I'm sure most Liverpool fans would have jumped at that. It's been a great season.

Harry Kane made history as Bayern Munich confirmed their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with victory against Bayer Leverkusen.

The striker's close-range finish in the 52nd minute was his 10th in Europe this season, more than any other English player has scored in a single campaign in the competition's history.

Bayern came into the second-leg tie with a 3-0 lead following a commanding performance at home last week, and were again the better side in Leverkusen.

Leverkusen needed to come out and attack after the break, but it was Bayern who put the tie beyond doubt when Patrik Schick's attempted clearance of a Joshua Kimmich free-kick fell straight at the feet of Kane who bundled home from a few yards out.

The home side's desperation left more space for Bayern to exploit and Alphonso Davies took full advantage by converting Kane's cross from close range in the 71st minute to seal a quarter-final tie against Inter Milan.

I feel all Liverpool players are fully exhausted after these two to three months of extremely tight schedules covering four competitions. They tried their very best as Arne said. Mr Henry, you really need to invest a little bit more on signing players to allow Arne to do substitutions properly. You can't keep relying on the same starting XI to run the challenge to become triple or even quadruple champions.

Liverpool's Champions League ambitions were ended after they lost on penalties to an outstanding Paris St-Germain side after a night of drama at Anfield.

PSG, needing to claw back a 1-0 deficit from the first leg at home, demonstrated how they have matured under coach Luis Enrique as they knocked out a Liverpool side touted as favourites to win the tournament.

Ousmane Dembele's early goal provided the platform for the turnaround, with Liverpool unable to break the French visitors down, while PSG were a constant threat.

PSG's victory over two legs was thoroughly deserved, with keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma emerging as their hero in the shootout, saving from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones before Desire Doue hammered home the winning spot-kick in front of joyous fans.

Liverpool's exit makes Arsenal potential path more straightforward. IF they can squeeze past one of the Madrids in the quarter-finals, then Villa or PSG in the semi (who Arsenal dispensed with 2-0 in the group stage). Any Arsenal fan would take that.

We would love your thoughts on Liverpool's defeat to Paris St-Germain:

    • Did Gianluigi Donnarumma win the battle of the two goalkeepers after Alisson Becker's starring role in the first leg?
    • Did Mohammed Salah's tears tell their own story? Was this his final European game at Anfield? Will Champions League defeat cost the Egyptian forward a chance of winning the Ballon d'Or?
    • Did PSG deserve their victory?
    • Arne Slot described it as the best game of football he has been involved in - how did you rate it?

Arne Slot's runaway leaders of the Premier League bow out of the Champions League to French champions Paris St-Germain on penalties after a night of high drama at Anfield.

Ousmane Dembele's first-half goal cancelled out Liverpool's slender lead from the first leg of their last-16 tie before Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saved two penalties in a 4-1 shootout victory.
