Stryjek absent as issue 'requires further investigation' after annual screeningpublished at 17:41 BST
Kilmarnock v Hearts (17:45)
Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland that goalkeeper Max Stryjek is not in the squad today due to an issue that "requires further investigation" following an annual screening.
He said: "I can tell you to a degree [why Stryjek is not present], due to routine annual screening of the players, which we do, it's flagged up something that requires further investigation.
"So that's probably as far as we're prepared to go at this point, respect the privacy of the player, of course.
"Max has been great for us, he's been sensational since he came into the football team, so we're disappointed not to have him on top of Djenairo Daniels off the back of international duty, but Eddie Beach has come here and shown he's got a lot of quality as well, so we completely trust him to go in and play today.
"And as I say, it's a pretty settled team apart from that.
"Sometimes we want to try and complicate this, but their application to the game and what they're trying to do each week has really impressed me, but I genuinely feel that we can get better as well.
"All eyes will be on this game tonight and rightfully so with the start that Hearts have had as well, and we just want to go and try and attack it and try and take the game to the Harts and see if we can come out on top."
