What would England winning mean to me? I was in hospital with Covid during the final in 2021. The last thing I remember before being put into an induced coma was Luke Shaw scoring. Only when I woke up 2 weeks later did I find we’d actually lost the game. Winning today would finally complete the cycle

The Spanish have arrived...going by the naked eye they are significantly outnumbered by England fans but they are bringing their colour and excitement to the party. They are certainly giving as good as they get with the friendly exchanges. Vamos!

In Majorca at the moment and we were due to fly home this evening, but just before we came out we changed our flight to tomorrow in the strong belief that England and Spain would reach the final. An England win would truly vindicate the surcharges for the flight change and having to get up at 6 tomorrow to fly home

  4. 'Ollie Watkins is humble and dedicated'published at 16:17 British Summer Time 14 July 2024

Long before Ollie Watkins became England's star striker, he played for Weston-super-Mare's football club.

His former teammates said "he didn't come across as big time", but he was "very hard-working".

Dan Jackson was in the team at Weston at the same time.

Now working as a PE teacher at Kings Oak Academy in Bristol, he describes the striker as "humble", who comes across as "incredibly dedicated" and "very likeable".

He wanted to get stuck in and just be a part of the group really," he said.

Will be watching from Texas. England are not underdogs - we have the better and the more experienced players. We were in the final last time around and have Champions League winners, La Liga MVP and Bundesliga top scorer in our team. We should be facing Spain with all the confidence in the world. I fully expect an England win.

Meet Danny everyone. He's made quite the journey today.

"I'm currently living in Malawi but after the semi-final my mate rang me and said he's got a ticket and there's one for me too if I wanted it," he says.

"It's taken me 30 hours to get here and the flight cost me £1,000 but I wouldn't miss this for the world."

The last Euros final against Italy, I watched alongside my mum who had Stage 4 cancer. However sick she was she still shouted 'it's coming home'. I lost my mum a month later. Some of her last breaths and excitement were it's coming home! Let's bring it home boys, for loved ones past who never got the chance. Come on boys.

Sam's honest enough to admit that his hairline is not where it used to be - and he reckons the St George's cross may even be an improvement on his regular hairdo.

"My dad called me an idiot. Actually he used another word but I won't say it. But I like it and if England win it's staying."

The Dutch forward, 23, has been bought for €42.5m (£36.54m).

I bought a plant at the start of the euros, which as the England games have gone on I have re-named "magic plant". Just after I whispered to it against Slovakia, we equalised. I now whisper to it throughout matches to bring luck to the lads, much to the discernment and concern of my partner. I'll be giving it a good water today! Come ON ENGLAND!

    .

It is pretty quiet right now as the last few bits of preparations for the final are done, but in a few hours there will be more than 70,000 fans inside here.

It bodes well that games at the Olympiastadion have seen quite a lot of goals so far at Euro 2024, with an average of two goals per game.

England fans won't care if it is a scrappy 1-0 with an own goal, as long as the Three Lions win it.
