Clubs usually name their team 75 minutes before kick-off.

Not Real Madrid. They have gone very early, over an hour before they had do.

As expected, Federico Valverde starts at full-back but Luka Modric is still on the bench.

Instead, Eduardo Camavinga comes into the starting line-up, having been a substitute in Sunday's league draw with Atletico.

The key for Manchester City will be to find a way of stopping a four-man attack containing Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe.

That is why City need Nico Gonzalez to be fit - and play well.

Oooh, a worrying moment for Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The PSG goalkeeper goes to make a clearance but the ball hits a Brest attacker and deflects behind for a goal kick. It could, however, just have easily deflected into his own net.

It will be interesting to see how Real Madrid set up this evening.

Last time the 15-time champions played at Etihad Stadium Carlo Ancelotti essentially parked the bus before winning on penalties to progress.

But with the second leg back in Madrid this time and Manchester City's current frailties, will their approach be more attacking?

Here's how things will pan out after the play-off phase.

The draw for the last-16 takes place on 21 February.

PSG had, like Manchester City, struggled to get going during the League phase of the Champions League and for a time looked in danger of early elimination.

They were, however, very impressive as they swept aside Stuttgart 4-1 in their final game in the league stage, and they've started strongly in this fixture too.

PSG won 5-2 at Brest just 10 days ago, so they will feel very confident.

Manchester City survived a scare against Clube Brugge to scrape into the Champions League knockout play-offs, but it doesn't get any easier for Pep Guardiola's side.

Tonight they continue their bid to reach the last 16 as they face defending champions Real Madrid in the first of two huge games as they both battle to stay in Europe.
