Manchester City work it really well from the back and Erling Haaland picks the ball up and holds it up well to use Jack Grealish to play it back to.
Grealish loops one in with Haaland and Josko Gvardiol advancing in the box. Gvardiol just knocks it down and the Norwegian guides it into the corner.
That's Haaland's first goal against Real Madrid and what a time to score it!

Every time Madrid get the ball in and around the halfway line they are looking for the ball in behind. If the ball is right then they are in, there is no way that any of the City defenders are keeping up with any one of that front three.

Semi-automated offside technology confirmed the offside decision against Vinicius Jr for what otherwise would have been a penalty to Real Madrid was right.
We are still waiting for the technology to be used in the Premier League.
It had been hoped to be in use by the October or November international breaks but it didn't happen as Premier League chiefs were not happy with the results of trials.
The Premier League's head of football Tony Scholes said last week there had been significant progress and it was still hoped it would be introduced this season.
We shall see.
In theory, it won't improve the decisions as VAR already does that with offsides (Luis Diaz abberation excepted). We will just arrive at a verdict quicker.

The referee points to the penalty spot but the linesman puts his flag up for offside.
