David McGoldrick was a little bit lucky with the rebound but he won't care. We didn't see him for 75 minutes but he will get all of the headlines.

There's no substitute for experience unless you bring experience on as a substitute.

Will Grigg on as a substitute had Chesterfield ahead in the second-half, converting Tom Naylor's header towards goal.

But Notts County have an old head of their own and 36-year-old David McGoldrick climbed off the bench to slot home after his 94th minute penalty had been saved by Max Thompson.

Paddy Madden had given the home side the lead inside six minute with a well taken goal only for the in-form Alassana Jatta to take them in level at the break.

Chesterfield created more opportunities in the second period and thought they'd won it through Grigg only for Liam Mandeville to be penalised for an inadvertent handball and McGoldrick did the rest, eventually.

Chesterfield still unbeaten at home, Notts County still unbeaten away and the visitors are top of League Two.

    Another change for Chesterfield.

I should just copy and paste the word 'experienced' as this time 37-year-old midfielder Mike Jones is on to replace Darren Oldaker.

Is this Paul Cook starting to think about shutting-up shop?

We talked before kick-off about the firepower Paul Cook has at his disposal and two of them, Madden and Grigg, have done the job for him.

I was about to write the Chesterfield changes seem to have perked them up (honest) and one of the substitutes does the trick.

A corner is headed goalwards by Tom Naylor, it's going in but Will Grigg makes sure from two yards - he's JUST onside.
