    FT: Celtic 0-2 Braga

Celtic have now failed to score in five of their 12 games in all competitions this season, as many times as they blanked across their 57 matches in the whole of the 2024-25 campaign.

It is the quickest they have gone goalless in five games in a season since 1991-92 (also 12 games).

  6. Dons 'focused' on finally scoring - Thelinpublished at 19:54 BST 2 October

    Aberdeen v Shakhtar Donetsk (20:00)

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells TNT Sports: "We need to get in behind them a lot, they are a good team with the ball. When we have the ball, we have to be fast with it.

"I think the things we’ve struggled with, it’s balancing it a little [back five] and has helped us to be more stable and [given us] more connections in the centre of the park.

"Everybody knows our situation [in front of goal] - the chances are coming now, but still we have to score those goals. The players are trying in training, and we have a lot of focus there."

I can't see a handball. From every angle I've looked at it comes off his forehead. I'm looking really hard but can't see any infringement at all. It's a baffling decision but one you'd expect them to get right.

It was a poor Celtic performance. Lacking quality, something we're not used to seeing with Celtic.

I think the change of shape at half-time helped a little bit, but in the end Braga deserved the win.

We'll fire you reaction from Celtic Park as we get it.

It will be very interesting to see what Brendan Rodgers has to say, particularly about that decision to rule out Kelechi Iheanacho's goal.

In the meantime, we'll turn our attention to Rangers and Aberdeen.

The small posse of Braga fans, clad in red and white, are bouncing up and down with joy.

The Celtic fans, the few who're still in the ground, boo their disapproval.

Despite an improved second-half performance, few can deny Braga were well worth their victory.

The drastic drop-off in form for Celtic, evident since the tail end of last season, shows no sign of abating.

Not good enough for the Champions League, Celtic are now defeated at home in the Europa League in which they've taken one point from the first available half-dozen.

Changed days for the manager, players and supporters compared to this time last season.

The Swedish stopper has absolutely strolled through this one, an indication of how meek his former side has been this evening.
