    Aberdeen 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

    Some effort from Marko Lazetic.

He holds the ball up inside the box before a smart turn and a few quick touches to work a half-yard of space for himself.

His shot almost catches out the Shakhtar keeper, but he manages to get a hand to it and hold on to the ball.

Donetsk then win a free-kick on the edge of the box as they try to clear the whipped delivery from Jesper Karlsson.

Non-stop stuff so far at Pittodrie.

  5. Postpublished at 20:23 BST 2 October

    Much better from Rangers.

Youssef Chermiti again has a go, but this time his back-heel flick is blocked by Graz goalkeeper Oliver Christensen.

The ball is kept alive and a matter of seconds later, Nico Raskin is rising at the back post but can't get there.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:17 BST 2 October

    Sturm Graz 1-0 Rangers

Oh, Youssef Chermiti. That was close.

It's a lovely ball in from Djeidi Gassama, who stands one up at the back post for the rising striker, but his header is just inches too high as it crashes off the crossbar.

  9. CLOSE!published at 20:17 BST 2 October

    Aberdeen 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

A Donetsk corner is allowed to drop inside the six-yard box, where the onrushing central defender Valeriy Bondar is unmarked.

A more composed touch and it's level, with his scuffed attempt fizzing narrowly past the post.

    Sturm Graz 1-0 Rangers

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

It was really, really slack from Rangers who are lucky not to be 2-0 down.

It was a good stop in the end from Jack Butland.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:15 BST 2 October

    Sturm Graz 1-0 Rangers

Belmin Beganovic forces Jack Butland into a big save at the near post.

This is all far too easy for Sturm Graz.

  12. 'Really bad Rangers start'published at 20:12 BST 2 October

    Sturm Graz 1-0 Rangers

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

Should Butland have done better with the shot? It seemed the shot was straight at him and he got a wrist or a hand to it.

A really, really bad start for Rangers.

Well that wasn't in the script.

The roof just about lifted off the Merkland Stand when that Jesper Karlsson penalty hit the back of the net.

GOAL! Aberdeen 1-0 Shakhtar Donetskpublished at 20:10 BST 2 October

    Jesper Karlsson (pen)

They're dancing on the streets of coefficient!

Jesper Karlsson powers it low to the keeper's right. Dmytro Riznyk dives that way but can't get a touch on the perfectly-placed effort.

That's Aberdeen's first goal since their last European home tie in August against FCSB - and it's Karlsson's first Dons goal.

GOAL! Sturm Graz 1-0 Rangerspublished at 20:08 BST 2 October

    Tomi Horvat

Won't somebody please think of the coefficient!

It's a nightmare for Rangers, who manage to concede from their own, deep throw-in.

Tomi Horvat has too much time and space in the box to lash beyond Jack Butland, who should perhaps do better.

  18. Postpublished at 20:07 BST 2 October

    Aberdeen 0-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

A terrific atmosphere at Pittodrie, the home support making plenty of noise to drive their team on.

In fairness, the 800 or so fans in the away end are also making themselves heard.

  19. Celtic have a lot of things to fixpublished at 20:07 BST 2 October

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Braga

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland chief sports writer

So many issues for Celtic. An error-prone goalkeeper, Benjamin Nygren not turning up in big games, Reo Hatate's game diminished, Daizen Maeda a shadow of his former self, lack of reliable goalscorers, lack of energy, an ageing Callum McGregor, Arne Engels not kicking-on, very little impact from the bench.

And that's just the on-field stuff.

  20. Postpublished at 20:06 BST 2 October

    Aberdeen 0-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

The Dons' high press almost catches out visiting full-back Vinicius Tobias early on.

The referee awards Shakhtar a free-kick, but it's been a high-energy start from the hosts.

Their shape seems to have breathed some life into them.
