    Millwall 1-0 Watford

Will Smallbone just set up Joe Bryan (75 mins).

Now he squares for Thierno Ballo to line one up but it's straight at Nathan Baxter.

Smallbone has already displayed some quality touches.

Brilliant from Millwall as they ping the ball around.

Joe Bryan then can't quite take the ball in his stride as breaks into the box.

    Watford were ball watching there.

I've persuaded a bar in Turkey to put on the Watford match for me, and I wish I hadn't bothered. We could play for days and not score with this setup.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 72 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

Watford boss Paulo Pezzolano doesn't mind making a change or two, does he?

Six to start with tonight and now a triple substitution as they search for a way back into the game.

Luca Kjerrumgaard, Caleb Wiley and Kwadwo Baah are on.

Marc Bola, Formose Mendy and Vivaldo Semedo get the hook.

  5. 'Intelligent Millwall change'published at 21:29 BST

Will Smallbone has come on just to go in midfield and compete against Watford's three in terms of energy, because they're dominating.

It's an intelligent move by Alex Neil.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

    A first change for Millwall.

Will Smallbone is on for his debut.

    Aidomo Emakhu makes way.

  7. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

A few moans of concern from the home fans because Watford are seeing so much of the ball.

Of all people, Millwall forward Josh Coburn gets an important foot in to prevent Imran Louza offloading a shot.

We've got a stoppage now while referee Josh Smith talks to a member of the security staff - not sure what that's about.

Paul: Pezzolano will be out by Halloween if Watford aren't in the play-off spots by then.

Should they lose tonight, Watford will be 21st and five points off sixth place with six games to play before Halloween.

We've just seen a little burst from Watford, for about five minutes, where they played in the final third. They've taken over the intensity and tempo, which is what they need to do.

Paulo Pezzolano will want to see them doing that more and hurting Millwall.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 62 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

Edo Kayembe is on for Watford.

Nampalys Mendy makes way for the DR Congo midfielder.

  11. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

There's definitely a bit more pep and intensity about Watford's play in this second 45.

They started the game in 21st place with five points.

At the same stage last season they were fifth with 10 points.

  12. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

Five points from six games, as it stands, for new Watford boss Paulo Pezzalano.

He'll be hoping things change in the final half-hour or so here. Hornets not exactly known for their patience with head coaches...

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

Great work from Thierno Ballo as he breaks a couple of challenges and Watford have to concede a corner.

Inevitably up comes Jake Cooper for Millwall but Nathan Baxter punches clear for his first intervention since coming on for the second half.

  14. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

A bit of intensity from Watford and Massimo Luongo has to throw himself in front of an Imran Louza shot to make an important block.

The visitors just stepped up there and won the ball back high up the pitch.

  15. 'Scrappy restart'published at 21:13 BST

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

    Dave Edwards
Former Wales midfielder on Sky Sports

The second half has started off quite scrappy. That could suit Millwall more.

Josh Coburn has had a terrific game apart from that missed chance in the first half. He never lets his markers have an easy ride and is really impressive.

  16. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

A first sight of goal in the second period falls for Millwall's Camiel Neghli but the Algerian's shot is well over the bar.

Watford still far too slow in their build up play when they do have possession.

  17. 'Hornets a bit passive'published at 21:09 BST

Watford were a little bit passive in the first half. They dropped too deep, too early at times and made it easy for Millwall.

I think you'll see a more intense start to the second half from Watford.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

We're back out after the oranges and Watford have been forced into a change at the break.

Goalkeeper Egil Selvik smacked his head on the post when trying to save Camiel Neghli's free-kick and he can't continue.

Nathan Baxter is the replacement and he makes his debut after moving from Bolton in the summer.

The Hornets need to make more of their possession.

Millwall may have seen enough of the visitors' defending to think they can extend their lead.

Millwall have done quite well - they've limited Watford.

But it's such a tight game and there's still an opportunity for Watford to go out there and grab it.
