Chay Cooper rescued a point for 10-man Braintree as they drew with Aldershot.

Both sides had first-half chances when Shots' Archy Taylor was denied by a goalline clearance and Mason Terry saved Ryan Hill's effort.

Aldershot had two opportunities in quick succession when Hady Ghandour's shot was saved and Josh Barrett's follow-up was blocked but Barrett broke the deadlock in the 65th minute with a deflected strike from Kwame Thomas' pass.

Although Braintree were reduced to 10 just four minutes later when James Vennings was shown a second yellow card, Cooper pounced on a poor pass and fired home to level in the 80th minute.
