He took it like a seasoned striker rather than a central defender!

  3. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 19 October

    Wycombe 0-0 Peterborough

Dangerous times for Posh as Wycombe ping the ball around the Peterborough final third in an effort to find a way through to goal.

The visitors appeal for a handball but the referee isn't interested.

The decision doesn't go their way but the momentum is certainly on their side now.

    Mick Gooding
Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio Berkshire

Mbengue swivelled so well and caught the ball sweet as.

I'll be surprised if this doesn't end being three or four.

  5. CLOSE!published at 12:51 British Summer Time 19 October

    Accrington 1-0 Barrow

    Barrow come close again.

This time it's a Ben Jackson corner to the far post which nearly sneaks in but it's cleared off the line.

GOAL: Reading 1-0 Crawleypublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 19 October

    Amadou Mbengue (20 mins)

    The hosts are in front!

Reading float in a free-kick and Crawley fail to deal with it.

After a bit of pinball in the area, it falls to Amadou Mbengue who swivels on it and fires a fantastic finish from 12 yards in at the near post.

What a great bit of skill and hit by the centre-back.

  7. Postpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 19 October

    Wycombe 0-0 Peterborough

Peterborough are enjoying a short spell of possession are still unable to pose any kind of threat to the hosts.

They offer up Wycombe a free kick but much to their relief, it's wasted as it's driven straight into a block.

The Chairboys are on top but haven't capitalised yet.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:50 British Summer Time 19 October

    Reading 0-0 Crawley

Crawley's Jojo Wollacott makes a brilliant save and it's Adrian Akande again for Reading causing problems.

Akande outmuscles Joy Mukena after a ball is clipped over the top and fires across goal towards the far post but it's beaten away by Wollacott.

  10. Postpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 19 October

    Reading 0-0 Crawley

Some good work by Adrian Akande who fizzes in a cross after a neat move by Reading but Crawley's Jojo Wollacott is out to claim.

Certainly a lively start in Berkshire.

    Wycombe 0-0 Peterborough

    Gaby Zakuani
Ex-Peterborough defender on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire

Posh just can't seem to get out of the press, passes keep getting cut out in midfield.

They just can't get a foothold on the game.

  12. Postpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 19 October

    Wycombe 0-0 Peterborough

    Big chance for Wycombe!

Posh keeper Jed Steer sees himself drifting forward and out of position. Wycombe forward Garath McCleary spots the error and goes charging toward goal but doesn't manage to get enough height on the ball to pass it over the 6'1ft goal keeper.

    Opportunity goes amiss.

  13. CLOSE!published at 12:43 British Summer Time 19 October

    Reading 0-0 Crawley

    Crawley almost take the lead!

Will Swann gets inside his man and hits an effort across goal towards the far post but David Button saves well.

The rebound falls to Junior Quitirna who can only divert it into the side netting from a tight angle.

This is end-to-end stuff already and both could be ahead.

  14. CLOSE!published at 12:40 British Summer Time 19 October

    Reading 0-0 Crawley

A huge chance for Reading's Sam Smith at the other end as Adrian Akande crosses in from the right for Smith who is unmarked less than six yards out but stabs a left-footed effort straight at Jojo Wollacott.

Smith was just off balance as it came to him but he'd have fancied burying that.

    Shaun Whalley (8 mins)

Barrow did start the stronger of the two sides but it's Accrington who take the lead early doors.

Stanley break with Shaun Whalley at pace, he cuts in and curls in a fine finish past Wyll Stanway for his third of the season.

  17. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 19 October

  19. Postpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 19 October

    Reading 0-0 Crawley

A quick reminder that this is also the first ever EFL clash between these two sides with Crawley spending the last 10 years in League Two until winning promotion last season.

The visitors are just enjoying getting their foot on the ball for the first time now and knocking it about nicely, albeit in their own half.

  20. Postpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 19 October

    Wycombe 0-0 Peterborough

An early free kick for Wycombe a few metres outside the right-hand side of the penalty box sees Daniel Harvie curve one towards goal.

It's pretty but an easy collection for Posh keeper Jed Steer.

Both teams settling nicely into the sunshine at Adams Park.
