I think Dan James will be the player of the season.

I think he's had an outstanding season, he's only been scuppered the last few weeks by injuries.

He's been brilliant and I think he's matured much more as a player this season.

Dan James scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 36 appearances for Leeds in the Championship this season.

Dramatic fall from grace for Luton Town, however 75 points from their last 86 league games tell the story. Appears the club is in total freefall.

Wow exciting end to the championship season, my beloved Leeds United back in the top league and as champions, Farke has done a remarkable job, to prosper in the premier league we will need investment no matter who the manager is!

Burnley just weren’t good enough over the course of the season.

Liam Manning has achieved what a number of managers before him have been unable to do, and that's get the Robins into the Championship top six.

He's done so with a team built around the collective, there are no star names as such and it's fitting that captain Jason Knight - as all-action a midfielder as you'll see - has just been awarded the players' player of the season and player of the season awards.

For Manning, it's a campaign underpinned by personal tragedy following the death of his baby son Theo in October and the mental resilience he has shown to go again, and get the job done speaks of a special human being.

We've just witnessed a truly lovely moment as he's celebrated in front of Section 82 in the corner of Ashton Gate, throwing three fist pumps to the home fans in tandem with his son Isaac.

Coventry match-winner Jack Rudoni told Sky Sports: "It’s a great feeling – we have worked hard for this since the gaffer came in - from 17th to the play-offs.

"I’ve popped a couple in, though I was blowing for the second, trying to keep up with Brandon Thomas-Asante.

"Everyone is buzzing. The noise was amazing. These fans get us through."

Ben Wilson was handed his first start in goal since 5 October and made several good saves, and told Sky Sports: "It was nice to be back on the pitch, though there were obviously a few nerves early doors.

"A clean sheet after so long out feels amazing. I hope I’ll be playing against Sunderland on Friday."

Coventry boss Frank Lampard celebratesImage source, PA Media

Coventry boss Frank Lampard told Sky Sports: "You worry when you don’t score and you're on top but we got what we deserved in the end.

"I talk to Rudoni a lot, he is a great kid. Every day he wants to get better. I never had that (heading ability). He beats me with that. He is constant energy, He can be the main man of the day."

Play-off opponents Sunderland have lost five straight games after sealing a fourth-placed finish but Lampard warned: "We have to expect the best version of Sunderland. They are there because they were so good in the first half of the season.

"It’s great for the club, from where we’ve come from. You felt the build up though the winning run.

"It’s going to be a great challenge, it’s been a long week, I’m pleased to take a breath after that."

A reminder that Leeds and Burnley not only won promotion to the Premier League together, they also made history together.

Victory for both the Whites and Clarets today means they both reached the 100-point mark.

That's the first time two clubs have amassed 100 points in the same Championship season.

    Quite remarkable.

Sheffield United, who finished third on a huge 90 points, must be wondering what else they could've done to go up.

You've got to grind out results in this division if you want to win the league and that's exactly what Leeds have done.

They'll be in there with a glass of champagne each, and I'm sure Daniel Farke will give a talk to all of them.

"We are Premier League," sing the Burnley fans. The players were waiting until that Leeds result. They did what they could but, in the end, this league does what it always does and give us late drama, twists and turns.

For Burnley, they finish the season 33 unbeaten, losing just two games and conceding just 16 all campaign. They didn’t quite get that outright all-time clean sheet record, which remains 30 and it’s even finer margins how they’ve missed out on the title, on goal difference.

I was here for 5 Live Sport this time last season as Burnley’s relegation was rubber stamped against Nottingham Forest.

They return to the top flight after just one season away and although they don’t have that historic trophy, they’ll come back on the pitch for runners-up medals and a mini trophy too. The biggest trophy, however, is a return to the Premier League.

They'll be talking about this day until they draw their last breath. It's everything you dream of as a kid.

It's a long old road, there's many people who nearly get there and fall off. It's what you dream of when you're at the park, you never think you'll be out there savouring these moments.

If you're lucky enough to get there and do it, it's an incredible feeling that you can share with the supporters for the rest of your life.

What a game, what an atmosphere, what a result. An outstanding afternoon for Coventry.

Credit to Boro. They gave it a good go, they were always a threat on the break.

I'm delighted for the players, the staff, and the fans who have turned up to witness this.

It's a fantastic feeling and they deserve it for the second half of the season.

...lots of people, it feels like everyone sat in one of the three lower tiers, in fact. 17 years they have waited for this moment and they are drinking it in.

The club PA is politely asking fans to clear to allow the players onto the pitch and conduct the end of season awards presentation but, I'll be honest, it ain't happening.

  15. 'The players are bouncing in delight'published at 14:54 British Summer Time 3 May

The scenes in-front of me I haven't seen in many years, sheer joy.

What an achievement, regardless of what happens next, I just hope they can go on and finish the job.

That second-half was horrible, checking phones, but they've done it.

Here is your final Championship table for 2024-25.

Leeds have won the title on goal difference as they finish on 100 points with Burnley settling for second.

Coventry and Bristol City make up the final two play-off spots alongside Sheffield United and Sunderland.

Luton Town have been relegated on the final day on goal difference, with Hull City staying up.

The Hatters join already relegated Cardiff in League One, as do Plymouth, who were all but down since last weekend.

The players will be exhausted but I think it will be a sigh of relief.

It's such a long campaign, such a tough campaign. The games come thick and fast.

There's a lot of pressure to play for this football club. That white shirt is heavy to wear at times and too heavy for some people.

Those players know how much it means to everybody. There will be some corks popping in that dressing room, now is the time to celebrate.

Wild scenes here at Home Park as Leeds players go and celebrate with their supporters.

They have certainly been on a rollercoaster of emotions over the last couple of hours.

But Manor Solomon's late winner was enough to ensure a title-winning return to the Premier League after two seasons away.

Congratulations to Leeds United- worthy champions! Please give Daniel Farke the opportunity to show what a top quality manager he is by supporting him this summer, unlike his previous experience in the Premier League with Norwich City.

    Dennis

Plymouth put up an excellent fight at the end of the season. You have to wonder whether they would still be in the championship if Rooney left sooner.

    Callum

The fact that Burnley have not won the title on 100 points is astonishing. Has this ever happened before?

    Jon, West Malling.

No, it hasn't Jon. It is the first time two clubs have finished with 100 points or more in the Championship.
