He told BBC Match of the Day, external it shouldn't have been a red card.

Agree with him? Hit the thumbs. Thumbs up for harsh red, thumbs down for blatant dismissal.

  2. Kane not able to save Bayernpublished at 09:00 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February

    Bochum 3-2 Bayern Munich

Saw some wags on social media at the weekend suggesting Harry Kane has the Minus Touch, not the Midas Touch.

    Is England's captain cursed?

Bayern Munich lost again on Sunday and are in danger of ending a season without a trophy for the first time in more than a decade.

Out of the German Cup to third-tier giant-killers, eight points adrift of unbeaten Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen and 1-0 down after the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Lazio.

Kane did score against in their Bundesliga defeat to Bochum, though. You can see his goal in the highlights above.

Social media may be awash with talk about David Moyes' future at West Ham, but the club are doing their best to dampen down speculation.

The business-as-usual messages came out of the London Stadium in the wake of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest, which was West Ham's third Premier League defeat in a row. They have now gone eight matches without a win in all competitions.

Moyes' detractors talk about style of football. His backers point to overall results.

On Friday, West Ham will discover their Europa League last-16 opponents. It is the first time they have ever qualified for European football three seasons in succession.

They are also ninth in the Premier League. Prior to Moyes' arrival for his second stint as manager in December 2019, West Ham had recorded two top-flight finishes higher than ninth in 20 years.

Of course every Manchester United fan is very happy with Rasmus Hojlund's form, and glad that we won. But let's face it, we conceded 22 (!) shots against Luton Town. This is what was happening before the 0-5 against Liverpool at Old Trafford. It's too easy to get to our box and create chances. A top team will punish us. This needs improvement and quickly.

  8. 'Hojlund not afraid to miss'published at 08:31 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February

    Luton 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Rasmus Hojlund's two goals for Manchester United against Luton Town captured the attention of Premier League all-time leading goalscorer and BBC Football pundit Alan Shearer in his analysis of the striker's performance against Luton on Match Of The Day 2

"At times I felt sorry for him because of his transfer fee," Shearer said. "But the one thing that never changed was him getting into positions and not being afraid to miss. He's now getting his rewards."

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Rasmus Hojlund has really come to the fore in recent weeks, now getting the goals all his hard work - even early in the season when they were in short supply - deserve. His first goal against Luton was a composed piece of work and his second quick thinking as United established early control.

The Denmark forward showed commendable hold-up play, a willingness to engage in the physical exchanges with Luton's defence, and was only denied a treble by Thomas Kaminski's block before he departed to a standing ovation from United's away support.
