  2. 'Spurs are always joyous to watch'published at 16:14 British Summer Time 2 April

West Ham v Tottenham (20:15 BST)

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

You just never know what to expect from West Ham and the same can be said for Spurs, the one thing you can say about Spurs is they are always joyous to watch because of Ange Postecoglou.

If they manage to go fourth or fifth this season, which I suspect they will, and if they get a win tonight - and I think they are really in the box seat to do that - then I think it’s been a brilliant job for Ange Postecoglou. He can look forward to next season and to building that team with more players that he’s chosen himself and that could be really special.

Going to be interesting to see what reaction Kalvin Phillips gets tonight at home when they take on Tottenham. Provided David Moyes plays him at all. That second penalty was ridiculous against Newcastle. It wasn’t fair on Phillips. No one talked about his crucial block right after Anthony Gordon stuck his leg in. That shot was going in. Even if Phillips finds his feet these next few months, I don’t see West Ham keeping him. Man City won’t want him either. He’ll be quickly offloaded at a loss this summer. I don’t think he will ever get back into the England squad given the amount of talent we have now in midfield.

  4. 'Even if Spurs go behind, I still fancy them to win this one'published at 16:09 British Summer Time 2 April

West Ham v Tottenham (20:15 BST)

West Ham badge and Tottenham badge

West Ham will still be smarting from the way they lost at Newcastle. Hammers boss David Moyes took Michail Antonio off when his team were cruising at 3-1 up with around 20 minutes to go and, without him, they could not get up the pitch.

Antonio gave them a great outlet, but Moyes will also be furious at the late goals his side conceded.

They will be looking to bounce back here, and they will be confident because they have already beaten Tottenham once this season.

The expansive way Spurs play suits West Ham because they will be able to hit them on the counter-attack. I think Antonio was taken off on Saturday to rest him for this game, and he will play another key role here.

There should be a few goals at the other end too, though. Tottenham are just relentless going forward and wear teams down. Even if they go behind, I still fancy them to win this one.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-3.

Jimmy's prediction: Both teams have been up and down so let's go for a draw. 2-2.

Right, tonight’s game is a big one for us. I don’t want to see Kalvin Phillips start or even come on for West Ham. When we brought him in I thought he would be a good player but he most certainly isn’t. It’s a shame to lose Areola to injury against Newcastle on Saturday, especially with the terrible VAR decisions that were made.

  6. 'I don't think Clarets will quite manage another win'published at 16:03 British Summer Time 2 April

    Burnley v Wolves (19:45 BST)

    Burnley badge and Wolves badge

Wolves were pretty limp in their defeat against Aston Villa and although their boss Gary O'Neil was right when he pointed out they were missing some key attacking players, the problem for him is if they are still without them at Turf Moor.

Matheus Cunha is apparently close to a return after his hamstring injury, which will give them a boost up front, but I still feel like Burnley will give them a good game.

The Clarets were really hard done by against Chelsea, starting with the penalty awarded against them - which was a disgrace because I thought Mykhailo Mudryk dived - and followed by dismissals for Lorenz Assignon and manager Vincent Kompany,

But they still picked up a point and are now on their best run of results of the season, with two draws and a win from their past three games.

They are only four points away from safety and a win here would be massive for them, but I don't think they will quite manage it. Still, even a draw would keep them in touch with the teams immediately above them.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-1.

Jimmy's prediction: I like to see all the Midlands teams doing well so I've got to go with Wolves here. 1-2.

  7. 'Clarets are on a little bit of a roll'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 2 April

    Burnley v Wolves (19:45 BST)

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Burnley I’m beginning to change my mind about them. Looking at the way they were going for quite a long time, [they played] really nice football but they kept on just playing nicely then losing it at the last minute or just easily being shoved aside.

However, in the last few games, the West Ham game a few weeks ago they were up in the 91st minute so they got a draw. They won against Brentford, and the next game against Chelsea they had 10 men for more than half of the game, yet still managed to draw 2-2.

I think they are on a little bit of a roll and if they win against Wolves tonight they are almost back in that tiny little pack. They were left behind the pack for some time so Burnley fans will be going for it tonight and making some noise.

  8. 'Sorry Cherries fans - whenever I back you, you never win'published at 15:56 British Summer Time 2 April

Bournemouth v Crystal Palace (19:45 BST)

Bournemouth badge and Crystal Palace badge

These two teams are next to each other in the table in 13th and 14th but the difference is Bournemouth are eight points ahead and looking up the table, while Crystal Palace are still looking over their shoulder at the teams below them.

Palace should be fine in terms of staying up, but they are a team in transition and are too reliant on Eberechi Eze for creativity.

This is going to be close but Dominic Solanke is still scoring and the Cherries are on a good run of results. They have really surprised me this campaign, especially after the way they started it.

I reckon Bournemouth will edge it but I should probably apologise to their fans now for saying that because whenever I back them, they never end up winning.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-1.

Jimmy's prediction: Palace to edge it. 0-1.

  9. 'Wood is bailing Forest out at the moment'published at 15:51 British Summer Time 2 April

Nottingham Forest v Fulham (19:30 BST)

Nottingham Forest badge and Fulham badge

I was wrong when I thought Fulham would beat Sheffield United on Saturday, and Marco Silva's side have not picked up many points on the road this season.

So Nottingham Forest will definitely see this as a winnable game - but the same applied to their past two fixtures, against Luton and Crystal Palace, and they did not win either of those.

Chris Wood is bailing Forest out at the moment with some important goals, and I would not be surprised if he scored again - but I expect this one will end up being a draw.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-1.

Jimmy's prediction: Forest definitely need the win here. 2-1.

  10. 'If you don’t score goals, you are going to have great difficulty'published at 15:48 British Summer Time 2 April

    Newcastle v Everton (19:30 BST)

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Everton will be scared to death at the moment, it’s not looking good. It’s been a terrible run, 12 games since they’ve won a game in the Premier League, considering they went on quite a good run after the initial points deduction.

But they’ve got a slight problem and that slight problem is that they are not scoring goals. If you don’t score goals, you are going to have great difficulty. It’s 30 goals they’ve scored so far this season [in the league].

Somehow they’ve got to do something about that or else they will get dragged further into the mire.

  11. 'I have a sneaking feeling the Toffees will get a result'published at 15:45 British Summer Time 2 April

    Newcastle v Everton (19:30 BST)

    Newcastle logo and Everton logo

I was at St James' Park to see Newcastle's late comeback to beat West Ham 4-3 and there is a lot to admire about Eddie Howe's side.

They found a way of winning the game, and it was great for Harvey Barnes to come on and change the game the way he did after missing so much of the campaign.

My concern for them here is how much that will have taken out of them. Their squad was already injury ravaged and now their captain Jamaal Lascelles is out for several months too.

I am taking a bit of a punt here, especially given that Everton have gone 12 league games without a win, but I think Newcastle are so stretched and put so much into it on Saturday, that it will catch up with them here.

Everton's big problem is still in attack because they really struggle to find the back of the net but they do create chances and I have a sneaking feeling they will get a result, just like they did when they beat the Magpies 3-0 at Goodison Park in December.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2.

Jimmy's prediction: This is a hard one to call because Newcastle have had their problems with injuries. 1-1.

  12. What's to come?published at 15:43 British Summer Time 2 April

Now before we sign off for the day, let's have a quick look at what to expect in tonight's five Premier League games.

  13. With Watkins out, it is Duran's moment - Emerypublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 2 April

Manchester City v Aston Villa (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Aston Villa

And finally from Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, he had this to say on 20-year-old Colombia forward Jhon Duran: "He is young but he has big potential. He needs to get practise and minutes in matches. He was injured before when he was playing and getting better. Now he has recovered and is fit.

"Without Watkins tomorrow, he will have the opportunity to get minutes, to get confidence and to show his power and capacity.

"We have to try to support his qualities in our tactics. It is his moment."

  14. 'We are very deserving to be' top fourpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 2 April

Man City v Aston Villa (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Aston Villa

On whether he has spoken to his players about qualifying for the Champions League, Villa boss Unai Emery said: "We are not really speaking a lot about it because my message is 'enjoy the way'.

"I say 'focus on each match', 'try to be consistent', and then we can see if we can make the top five.

"We are very deserving to be there but there are a lot of matches to play and gain points from. Manchester United are also capable of doing that."

Manchester United are in sixth place, 11 points behind fourth-placed Villa, with a game in hand.

  15. 'We are always trying to be positive'published at 15:30 British Summer Time 2 April

Man City v Aston Villa (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Aston Villa

On Manchester City, Aston Villa boss Unai Emery added: "We're playing against the best team in the Premier League so it is the biggest test.

"Tomorrow is one of the biggest matches for us and playing against them is always very difficult. To add to that we are playing away. They have some of the best players in the world but we are very excited and motivated.

"We have had a lot of bad circumstances with injured players, but we are always trying to be positive. The players in the squad are there because we believe [in them], and we believe in our capacity to respond. Now is the moment."

  16. Guardiola 'is the best coach in the world'published at 15:26 British Summer Time 2 April

On what he learned from Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery said: "I am very thankful to be a coach and facing Manchester City is always exciting.

"To be consistent is the challenge I have with my players and then if we win, lose or draw, it is about getting balance.

"Pep [Guardiola] is the best coach in the world for me. Analysing him in Spain and here in England, he is a brilliant coach and he has given a lot of coaches a new way of working.

"He is very competitive. To be the very best it's more than just tactics. It's about being humble as a person and the management of players. He has shown that in my opinion. I am trying to get better like that myself."

  17. Watkins & Ramsey out for Villapublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 2 April

Man City v Aston Villa (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Aston Villa

Now let's have some team news for Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, who has confirmed that top scorer Ollie Watkins and midfielder Jacob Ramsey are not available for Wednesday's game.

The Spaniard said: "Ramsey is not getting better like how he wants but Ollie's is a small injury so he could be available for our next match on Sunday."

  18. 'It's the most difficult and challenging period I've ever faced'published at 15:12 British Summer Time 2 April

Arsenal v Luton Town (Wed, 19:30 BST)

    Luton Town

Luton could have as many as 13 players out on Wednesday - the most in the Premier League - following recent injuries to Alfie Doughty, Tahith Chong and Reece Burke.

The Hatters' boss Rob Edwards said: "If they're ready for that then I'll pick them and if they are not then I won't be able to. We will see if we can turn them around for Saturday, but if they are not ready for Wednesday then there is a big doubt for Saturday as well.

"It's just where we are at. It's the biggest challenge I've ever had, aside from the real serious incident we had with our captain [Tom Lockyer]. It is the most difficult and challenging period I've ever faced, I've never known anything like it, and we are coming up against the best teams in the world in this period as well."

After facing Arsenal, Luton's next away game is at Manchester City on 13 April.

No disrespect to Luton here, but Arteta can't pull the wool over anyone's eyes in his interview. It's the perfect match to shake the negative tactics off his players and win what is essentially a dead rubber.

  20. 'Every game deserves the best preparation'published at 15:06 British Summer Time 2 April

Arsenal v Luton Town (Wed, 19:30 BST)

    Luton Town

With two Premier League games this week and several squad injuries, Luton Town boss Rob Edwards said: "Every Premier League game is difficult and they deserve the best preparation, to try to put our best team out.

"I'm aware there's a game a few days later on Saturday but we are not really going to have anyone else that we don't have tomorrow, so it doesn't really make any difference."
