Looking ahead with Arsenal coming to Old Trafford [on Sunday], that's a massive game. There is plenty of positives to take from this, but if you look back at the moments I think Manchester United could have come away with a win.

The Europa League is the only thing going for Manchester United.
It is so important for them as that's the way back into the Champions League.
If that happens you win a trophy. Does it paint over cracks? Yes.
If that falls away it is a totally disastrous season.

Spurs are one of the favourites to win this competition? That is just absolute rubbish, as we were tonight, after a 10 day break. No shots on target is shambolic.

"Too many times we were just circulating the ball without any real intent to hurt them. No fault for the goal, it happens. It's more about the collective tonight rather than the individuals.
"Collectively, we were nowhere near the level we needed to be and that's the thing we need to address."
Ajax 1-1 Frankfurt
Jay Gorter has only been on the field a couple of minutes but the substitute Ajax goalkeeper is picking the ball out of his net.
Not too much he could do about it - Hugo Larsson's shot from distance was on target, but it took a deflection off Ajax goalscorer Brian Brobbey and nestled into the corner.

What is Ange's excuse now for this poor performance? He's got a bunch of the injured players back, they have had plenty of time to rest in between fixtures. Not good enough.

"We never got a grip on the game, never really got control at any stage. We were always struggling both on and off the ball. It wasn't a great night, but it's only halfway and we're still in the tie."
Ajax have been forced to change their goalkeeper Remko Pasveer because of an injury, seemingly sustained when he tried to clear a ball.
Jay Gorter, formerly of Aberdeen, is on in his place. They remain 1-0 in front against Frankfurt.
Elsewhere, Lazio have taken the lead at Viktoria Plzen - Alessio Romagnoli the scorer.

Brian Brobbey has scored the opening goal for Ajax against Eintracht Frankfurt, nodding in a Jordan Henderson cross.
Elsewhere, Bodo/Glimt lead last season's Conference League winners Olympiakos courtesy of an own goal.

"I really don't think there was too much caution. It's always tough to play away in the Europa League. We didn't create anything in the first half, sloppiness, not performing the way we should.
"Everyone is very disappointed about the individual performance and the team performance, we have to look at ourselves. There is no excuses, we were not good enough. It's just 1-0, it's still not finished, and next week we have to be much better."

The winners of this tie could face Tottenham in the quarter-finals - that's if Spurs overturn their one-goal deficit against AZ at home next Thursday.
Frankfurt won the Europa League in 2022 under now Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, beating Rangers on penalties.
