More from Michael Brown on The Football News Show about Manchester City defender Kyle Walker's possible move to AC Milan: "It's a really sad day that he's not going to be playing for Man City this weekend. What he's done there, the trophies, the leadership, but football happens.

"But he's decided he wants to make a change. He wants to get 100 [England] caps. It's not done yet but it's pretty close. But the future looks interesting."

    The Football News Show

Former Manchester City midfielder Michael Brown on Manchester City's three new signings: "At the front of the pitch, [it's] the rotation Pep [Guardiola] can have.

"I would have hoped they could've gone with a marquee signing but they wanted to get some youth and a spring in the step. All of sudden people are a bit keener, a bit more alert.

"He [Guardiola] would've have wanted all of them straight into the squad but he's got no choice.

"It's a big, big week for City."

  20. Van Nistelrooy's call for unitypublished at 13:05 Greenwich Mean Time

Tottenham v Leicester (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Nick Mashiter
    BBC Sport football news reporter

It felt Ruud Van Nistelrooy went out of his way to emphasise the unity at Leicester during his press conference.

That he was making the point and repeatedly using words like "unity" and "togetherness" was even highlighted to the Foxes boss by the media in the conference.

Perhaps he lent on it too much but the message was clear, that he needs his players to be behind him and each other to survive.

There have been suggestions of heated discussions with players this week but what manager would not have them after seven straight defeats?

Van Nistelrooy has been in charge for just 56 days and he is already fielding questions about his position and whether there are fractures in the squad as his side sit second bottom of the Premier League.

That is no surprise amid their current run of form and Leicester will equal a club record run of losses if they fall to an eighth straight defeat at Tottenham on Sunday.

Ultimately, Van Nistelrooy's words and calls for unity will be useless unless his side start to win.
