Tiree Burchill scored the only goal in Thistle's 1-0 win
Partick Thistle remained best of the rest in the bottom six with a narrow 1-0 win over Spartans.
The first half was a predictably cagey affair with both sides looking for an important three points to move them further from the relegation zone.
The deadlock was broken in the second half when Tiree Burchill, who also scored the winning goal in their midweek game against Queen's Park, smashed the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the box.
Spartans did test Jeni Currie in the Thistle goal but they couldn't find the net.
