    Northern Ireland defender Rachel Dugdale is excited at the prospect of returning to Mourneview Park for their Euro 2025 qualifier against Portugal on Tuesday night.

    With Windsor Park undergoing maintence work, Northern Ireland have opted to use the home of Irish Premiership side Glenavon in Lurgan for the qualifier.

    And Dugdale has fond memories of playing at Mourneview, where she made her first competitive start for her country in a 1-1 draw with Czechia in 2016.

    "I’m glad to be back here and on the grass pitch, I think it allows us to play the football we want to play," she told BBC Sport NI.

    "It’s a nice change and allows us to be closer to some different fans that don’t travel up to Belfast."

    Northern Ireland manager Tanya Oxtoby has challenged her side to "make better decisions under pressure" in their Euro 2025 qualifier against Portugal.

    Oxtoby's side were beaten 4-0 by a clinical Portugal side in Leiria on Friday, but the boss believes they are now better equipped to face the group leaders on home soil and learn from their mistakes.

    "I thought we performed well in periods of the game on Friday, but we made some errors, and we were punished," she told BBC Sport NI.

    "We’ve been working on those themes that came through from Portugal when they were in possession, so I feel we’re a bit more prepared."

    Northern Ireland fall to their first defeat in Euro 2025 qualifying as they are beaten 4-0 by group leaders Portugal in Leiria.

    Carole Costa opened the scoring for the hosts with a penalty on 25 minutes, with substitute Catarina Armado scoring either side of a Lucia Alves double.

    Francisco Neto's side have now won their opening three qualifiers without conceding a goal.

    Caitlin Hayes has been immense for the Republic this evening, winning every header and clearing the ball time and time again.

    Eileen Gleeson will feel there is something in this game for her side. Sweden have had the majority ball and have put pressure on the Irish back line but the only real chances have fallen to Fridolina Rolfo who headed over from close range and had a strong shot saved by Courtney Brosnan.

    With some more bodies forward on the counter attacks there could be an upset on the cards tonight.
