  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Walsall 1-2 Grimsby

An excellent start for Walsall seems long ago now after Danny Rose scores from the spot to see the Mariners ahead at the break.

The Saddlers opened the scoring in the first five minutes when Ellis Harrison found the net on the break, but Grimsby were able to find an equaliser against the run of play after Jayden Luker exploited a weak line in the Walsall defence.

The home side had their chances, most notably when a Mariners mix up at the back saw Albert Adomah with a tantalising chance sent wide but it's the visitors who are reigning supreme now.

Huge pressure on the league leaders heading into the second half. Can they live up to it?

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Notts County

Wimbledon are completely in control after a super first half in the South London sunshine.

A Joe Lewis header and Alistair Browne piledriver have put them on course for a first win in five. It would send them above the Magpies into fourth.

In truth, it could have been more. Plenty of problems for Notts boss Stuart Maynard to solve in the second half.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Walsall 1-2 Grimsby

    Tyrell Warren is everywhere.

He drew that penalty for Grimsby but now he finds himself the first name in the naughty book for a poor foul on Charlie Lakin.

Four minutes added to the clock.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Crawley 0-1 Reading

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan's neat control and finish from Reading's best, and arguably only, real chance of the half, is the difference at the interval.

Crawley have typically played some nice stuff and created openings, they are just lacking the final touch in the box to get themselves back into this.

Noel Hunt will be far happier than Rob Elliot with how things are going, however.

  5. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Notts County

We're into three minutes of stoppage-time after a few delays.

  6. 'I think it was a harsh penalty'published at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Walsall 1-2 Grimsby

    Chloe Astell
    Walsall FC Women player

I think it was a harsh penalty - but we don't have a great view.

But you have to ask why was Tyrell Warren in a position to get a penalty?

    That was poor from Walsall.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Stockport 0-0 Charlton

No goals, but plenty of action at both ends. A good watch.

Luke Berry probably came the closest as he stretched to prod over a close-range effort from Josh Edwards' curling cross for the visitors.

4th v 5th with plenty at stake, and it feels like it...

  8. goal

GOAL: Walsall 1-2 Grimsbypublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Danny Rose (43 mins)

    Rinse and repeat.

Danny Rose scored from the spot in the Mariners last outing against Tranmere and he's done it again, finding the top left corner.

    Classy.

  9. PENALTY TO GRIMSBYpublished at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Walsall 1-1 Grimsby

An injury to Grimsby's Lewis Cass means he has to be replaced by Tyrell Warren and oh, what an introduction he makes.

He is brought down in the box and earns his side a penalty.

  10. Postpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Notts County

County look stunned by the Dons' first-half display but work the ball down the left for George Abbott, who got up after lengthy treatment, and played a dangerous ball into the box.

Two Wimbledon defenders bump into each other as they come to collect, but just about shovel it away from danger.

Joe Lewis falls on the ball with his arm after the collision and then seemed to kick the ball against his own arm as he cleared. No penalty though.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Crawley 0-1 Reading

Louie Watson goes into the book for the hosts after mis-timing a sliding challenge on Harvey Knibbs in midfield.

    No arguments there.

This is the type of game you get with two high quality teams, they even each other out and can make the game quite flat.

But I'm just waiting for a mistake and that can lead to a breakthrough.

  13. Postpublished at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Crawley 0-1 Reading

Kami Doyle drives forward after Crawley pinch possession in midfield and goes to ground under pressure in the box, but referee Charles Breakspear is having none of it. A coming together, he signals.

  14. 'You can't risk it'published at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Walsall 1-1 Grimsby

    Chloe Astell
    Walsall FC Women player

Grimsby are doing quite well and are making me quite nervous!

For Walsall, if you're going to get rid of the ball, just get rid of it.

If the ball is in a dangerous area you can't risk it.

  15. Postpublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Crawley 0-1 Reading

Really good response from the home side to falling behind.

Most of their best stuff has come down the left and once again Will Small is played into space by Liam Fraser and fires a low cross right across the six-yard box. It just needed a touch, from anybody, but sails right across the box before being cleared.

  16. goal

GOAL: AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Notts Countypublished at 13:06 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Alistair Smith (34 mins)

    No stopping that!

A corner is worked patiently across the edge of the Notts 18-yard box to Alistair Smith front and centre of goal.

He's almost tackled but steps forward and lashes a 20-yard shot straight down the middle, past Alex Bass. The connection was so sweet from the Lincoln loanee.

Wimbledon have been full value for this.

  17. CLOSE!published at 13:05 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Walsall 1-1 Grimsby

Oh what a costly mistake that could have been!

The Mariners defenders get themselves in a muddle and both end up rooted rather than dealing with an incoming looped cross.

Walsall are on it in a flash and it gives Albert Adomah a one-v-one with the Grimsby keeper.

He has a panicked Jordan Wright beat but as he lifts the ball up, it also bounces wide.

    Massive chance.

  18. CLOSE!published at 13:05 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Crawley 0-1 Reading

Good work from Tyreece John-Jules to glide down the left of the Royals box before cutting back into the mixer where Max Anderson and Liam Fraser see low shots charged down by some frantic Reading defending.

Down the other end and Charlie Savage's wonderful cross just evades Harvey Knibbs at the far post.

Barnstorming game in the spring sunshine.

  19. Postpublished at 13:03 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    AFC Wimbledon 1-0 Notts County

A ball is clipped over the Dons defence to Matt Palmer inside the box, but he slips at the vital moment and the danger quickly passes.

The hosts then launch a quick counter and Omar Bugiel's ball sends Marcus Browne into acres of space down the left.

He cuts into the box towards the byeline, but Notts keeper Alex Bass sticks out a foot to divert the low cross for a corner.

Bass then has to get down to scoop up James Tilley's effort from distance.

All Wimbledon in the opening half-hour.

    Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan (29 mins)

Crawley v ReadingImage source, Rex Features

    It's been coming, in fairness.

A header is looped into the heart of the Crawley box where Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan is given enough time and space to take a touch with his chest and then lash a first-time volley low to Jojo Wollacott's left to break the deadlock.

Really well taken by the big Royals frontman, who is trying to fill the boots of the departed Sam Smith.

That's the way to do it, for sure!
