  1. 'Wonderful goal'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October

    Tottenham 1-0 Man City

    Leon Osman
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

    Wonderful goal.

That's the exact reason why teams are trying to play out from the back, trying to take risks and suck the opposition into them in advanced areas.

Timo Werner has been slow on to every ball, but thankfully for Spurs' point of view he was quick to get on to that one.

Enzo is right when he says we’re not good enough to win the league, but him thinking he can get away with making 11 changes against teams like Newcastle, shows he isn’t good enough yet either. Hope he learns from tonight.

  3. 'Chelsea's play such high risk'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October

    Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Chelsea's play is such high risk because at the moment they are not very good at it, they have been caught four or five times trying to pass out from the back. They have had very little success in doing it. But that is the way the manager plays and he will keep doing it.

Stalemate at the Amex stadium, both teams playing ok. Although I can't get over how much of a defensive liability Robertson has become, new left back in the January transfer window please.

    Bruno Fernandes (36 mins)

Manchester United have that two-goal lead back quite quickly.

Bruno Fernandes' free-kick hits a player in the wall and Danny Ward is completely wrongfooted as the ball flies into the middle of the net.

    Timo Werner (5 mins)

Lovely play down the right-hand side from Tottenham. They get on the break and it's a nice floated ball from Dejan Kulusevski to find Timo Werner in the middle of the penalty area.

The German just calmly picks his spot and lashes home.

It's a superb finish from Werner, who has his critics, but that will do his confidence the world of good.

  7. 'Chelsea keep getting caught'published at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October

    Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

There is such a reluctance from Chelsea to go along, they are passing for the sake of it around the back and they keep getting caught. If Newcastle continue to get their press right...

As a Spurs fan the sole reason I want us to win this game tonight is so that City can't win a quadruple. That's it. I know full well we will lose to Newcastle in the next round.

Arsenal have the chance to double their lead but Ethan Nwaneri's effort from 16 yards out rolls into the gloves of Freddie Woodman.

Alexander Isak made that run about three seconds earlier and his team-mates didn't find him. He makes the run again, he is found the second time and the ball falls to Joe Willock. 2-0.

I'm not sure if it was going in or hitting the post, but it has gone in eventually off the defender.

  20. Big show at Spurspublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October

Spurs v Man City (20.15 GMT)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The light show is under way ahead of Spurs v Manchester City. It's a big night for Ange Postecoglou and his players after their mixed recent form.

Postecoglou boldly announced recently that he always wins a trophy in his second season - and The Carabao Cup represents a good opportunity to make that claim come good against a (very relatively) under-strength Manchester City.
