A Leicester set-piece bounces awkwardly off Diogo Dalot and Conor Coady finds the net from close range. Lifeline for the Foxes?

  2. 'Good play from Longstaff to protect the back four'published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October

    Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Sean Longstaff did well there to spot the danger and intercept from Axel Disasi. This time it was Newcastle getting caught playing out from the back. Good play from Longstaff to protect his back four.

  3. Ruud's half to rememberpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October

    Man Utd 4-1 Leicester

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Ruud van Nistelrooy had made great days in this stadium but I wonder how many have been as satisfying as this first half for the Dutchman.

He promised goals before the game and his side have delivered.

Yes, it is a virtual second string Leicester side but this has been fabulous.

I wonder what Erik ten Hag is thinking.

Timo Werner's goal was his first of the season. And third in a Spurs shirt in 26 appearances across all competitions.

Chuck: So wonderful to see a #MUFC manager show enthusiasm on the touchline! Well done Van Nistelrooy!

John Petrie: If Casemiro's and Garnacho's shots had gone in on Sunday, Ten Hag would probably still be in charge. Funny how it goes.

You don't take any chances with hamstrings. They can't get better, they can only get worse.

If you're looking at this Spurs team at the moment Micky van de Ven is arguably the one player Ange will not want to lose.

  7. Irony from Spurs fanspublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October

    Tottenham 1-0 Man City

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Spurs fans and his team-mates were delighted for Timo Werner but there has just been some very heavy irony as they chanted: "Timo Werner - he scores when he wants."

Long-time observers of the German striker will know this is not strictly true.

If I were a Man Utd fan, I'd be furious at this performance. Clearly the players weren't putting in the effort for ETH and it's their fault he could get results. Typical really.

    Sai

4-1 Manchester United! The irony is it is such a damning indictment of the players. Little to nothing will have changed tactically in the last 2 days - but now they are playing for their place with a new manager on the horizon, so they decide to put in a shift.

Micky van de Ven is going to have to come off. Safe to say he doesn't look too pleased about it.

Casemiro almost has a hat-trick! He heads just wide from Bruno Fernandes' free-kick. Probably should have scored.

    Conor McNamara

It is safe to say that Manchester United are getting over their breakup with Erik ten Hag quite well. 4-1 against Leicester City and it's not half time yet.

Oh dear. Micky van de Ven is in a bit of bother here. He's been clutching at his hamstring since going for a challenge on Savinho and now goes down in need of treatment.

    Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a good save from Nick Pope, he pushed it away from danger. I wasn't sure if he could hold the shot or not, he made the choice not to so he had to make sure it stayed away from incoming Chelsea players, and he did just that.

    Quite well organised for Tottenham.

We know the spaces that Man City want to play in, they have a number of technicians in that 10 position which could be difficult to pick up.

Disasi against City last season was immense, he had a brilliant few games. Then something went wrong. He's got the ability, but there's no leadership in this line up to support him.
