Let's wait and see the over reaction from Man Utd fans after this game. It was the same after the Barnsley match. They are playing the weakest team left in the competition at Home and suddenly they are back to their best.

Paul C: Tottenham knocking Man City out would blow this cup wide open. Absolutely none of the rest would fear playing Spurs but they’d all want to avoid City

The Spurs fans are loving this and why not - but how will Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola respond?

Erling Haaland is impassive on the bench but if City and Guardiola want to get back into this then the odds are he will not be spending his night there.

Stefan Ortega must not have seen it, he was so slow to dive to his left.

Pape Sarr has bent it around two-to-three players, it's a dive for the sake of it from Ortega.

Again Man City are slow to react to a short set-piece. Pep is shaking his head, he is not happy.

Spurs have been the brightest in this game and are rightly 2-0.

Tottenham have a corner and it's played out to Pape Sarr 20-yards out.

It's a brilliant strike, low and curling into the bottom corner. But Stefan Ortega shakes his head in frustration, should he have done better there?

A game in which pretty much nothing happened for the first 20 minutes, we have had six goals in the subsequent 25 minutes.

Ruud van Nistelrooy did say that United wanted to entertain tonight, give the fans something to cheer, and that is absolutely what we have seen.

I was getting concerned early on after Newcastle missed a sitter through Joelinton, thinking, 'No it's not one of those nights again is it?'

But they have punished Chelsea who have been really, really sloppy at the back. Chelsea have had one or two chances themselves but Newcastle have been the better team.

    Brilliant finish.
