  1. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    Southampton 2-2 Stoke City

    Handbags at dawn!

Lesley Ugochukwu is confronted by Junior Tchamadeu after what he deems an over-enthusiastic tackle, shirts get grabbed and suddenly half of both teams are involved.

It all settles down fairly quickly, but referee Lewis Smith brings out the yellow card for both Tchamadeu and Southampton captain Adam Armstrong who was among the first into the melee.

    Southampton 2-2 Stoke City

A heart in mouth moment for Stoke defender Michael Rose, who shanks a clearance right up in the air and is fortunate to see it loop over his own crossbar.

Stoke deal with the corner more effectively.

    Brentford 1-0 Sheffield Wendesday

BBC football news reporter at the Gtech Community Stadium

The second half has started like the first half finished.

Brentford are on top and cruising. The Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl has looked frustrated at times.

  4. 'The second half will be a lot like the first 45 minutes'published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    Brentford 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Australia keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think the second half will be a lot like the first 45 minutes where Sheffield Wednesday will have to try and close down Brentford as much as they can and try and win the ball high up. They're playing a highline which is clearly a tactic.

For Brentford they need to just be a little bit more clinical in possession because they have been a bit wasteful.

  5. CLOSE!published at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    Brentford 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Bryan Mbuemo fires a low cross across the face of goal, inches ahead of Fabio Carvalho.

Brentford have started the second half very much on top.

I didn't bother with the game tonight because it would have been horrible getting home after extra-time and penalties. Silly boy, it's straight to penalties - but still looking like a Saints horror show, so a lucky escape.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    Southampton 2-2 Stoke City

The free kick was met by Cameron Archer, but his header is flicked well wide.

The first sub of the game is a Stoke change - Lewis Koumas replaces Tom Cannon, scorer of the equaliser.

    Southampton 2-2 Stoke City

Southampton have a free kick in a good position, on the right wing level with the edge of the Stoke box.

The big men from the back are forward.

    Brentford 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday had one touch inside the Brentford penalty area in the first half. They've defended well, but offered very little going forward.

Striker Michael Smith was warming up at half-time. Danny Rohl may soon look to him to increase his side's presence in front of goal.

  11. goal

GOAL - Southampton 2-2 Stoke Citypublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    Tom Cannon (54 mins)

    Well, well, well.

Stoke break away from the Southampton pressure for the first time, and it pays off. It is great work by Tatsuki Seko to carry the ball through the middle, before laying off to André Vidigal who fires across the box from the right.

The ball deflects off defender James Bree and falls to Tom Cannon, who fires into the roof of the net.

For the second successive home match, Southampton have spurned a two-goal lead.

    Southampton 2-1 Stoke City

A half-clearance from Stoke gives Lesley Ugochukwu a volley chance from 20 yards, but not for the first time tonight he badly scuffs his shot.

Chelsea loanee Ugochukwu seems to have left his shooting boots in Cobham.

  13. 'Wednesday have not caused any problems'published at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    HT: Brentford 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Australia keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

They (Sheffield Wednesday) have forayed a couple of times into the Brentford box but have not caused any problems whatsoever, and certainly not for Mark Flekken.

Sheffield Wednesday have defended really well, they've worked really hard and have not given away too many chances to Brentford either.

  14. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    Southampton 2-1 Stoke City

I haven't mentioned it yet tonight, but worth remembering that there is no extra time in tonight's games.

Matches level after 90 minutes go straight to penalties - which is how both these sides made it to round four.

Southampton overcame Everton, while Stoke beat Fleetwood 2-1 in one of the most incompetent shoot-outs in recent memory.

    Southampton 2-1 Stoke City

A sedate start to the second half, with Southampton keeping the ball at the back.

Stoke's best hope might be from another set piece.

The players are out on the field ahead of the second half at St. Mary's.

All to play for here too, after that late first half goal from Stoke defender Ash Phillips.

  18. Postpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    HT: Brentford 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Wednesday have a few of their first team regulars on the bench, will Danny Rohl turn to them after the interval?

Subs include Josh Windass and Michael Smith, who both scored in the comeback win over Portsmouth last Friday where Wednesday trailed 1-0 at half-time.

Smith's goal in particular was a cracker, well worth seeking out on YouTube.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October

    Brentford 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Brentford have dominated, but a mix of wastefulness and good goalkeeping have kept the visitors in touch.
