The resulting corner is cleared by the Everton defence.

Seraina Piubel had done so well, breaking free and storming up the pitch, but her final ball is terrible as she hands possession straight back to Leicester.

She might have been better to have a go at goal there.

Rehanne Skinner could really do with a win.

She has won just 11% of her 28 WSL games as manager of West Ham United - the worst win rate of any of the other 33 managers to take charge of as many matches for one club in the league.

Heather Payne's cross into the box is easily held by Shae Yanez.

Everton are really lacking any cutting edge when they attack.

Ruby Mace lofts a high ball into the box and Kinga Szemik misjudges the punch, firing it straight to Nicole Momiki whose effort blazes over the bar.

The second half is following a similar pattern to the first.

Crystal Palace are comfortable and Everton aren't really troubling them.

A big chance for the hosts as Riko Ueki races through on goal and fizzes a ball across the face of goal. There's no West Ham players in the box to throw themselves at it and eventually Leicester get the ball to safety.

A scrappy opening few minutes between West Ham and Leicester as both teams feel their way into the game.

Ruby Mace takes a hit from long range. It was never going to trouble Kinga Szemik in the West Ham goal but it takes a deflection and drifts out for a corner.

That comes to nothing, though.

Rehanne Skinner's West Ham side really could do with a win - they haven't tasted WSL victory since 4 February 2024. That was 15 games ago.

A win for Leicester, meanwhile, would be their second of the season and take them away from the bottom of the table.

Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor to BBC Sport: "I'm really happy with the performance. We're keeping our good dynamic at the moment. We started a little bit slower than usual, but if you look at all the picture we controlled the game and were efficient in the right moments."

On Lucy Bronze: "She's not injured at all. It's part of the management for her. It was part of the management for her to play 45 minutes today so she would be ready for the next game. She's fine. No pain, nothing.

"Every game is important, every game is three points. For the players we are back to a rhythm where we are at three games a week."

Everton have a record of W0, D1, L4 when conceding the opening goal in the WSL this season.
