Well, that is the perfect start that Southampton and Tonda Eckert will have been looking for.

For the first goal, Ryan Manning curled in an inch-perfect ball to Taylor Harwood-Bellis, that is now Manning's fifth goal contribution in all competitions this season.

And Finn Azaz just produced a fantastic finish to make it two to the Saints.

They're playing some beautiful football at the moment, immense credit has to go to Eckert and his coaching staff.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:27 GMT 25 November

    Middlesbrough 1-2 Coventry

Concern here for Coventry and Brandon Thomas-Asante.

The Ghanaian seems to have suffered an innocuous injury and cannot continue. He's replaced by Ephron Mason-Clark.

  10. Familiar issues as Swansea trail againpublished at 20:26 GMT 25 November

    Swansea 0-1 Derby

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

There may be no Carlton Morris for Derby, but the Rams have found a way to goal thanks to a neat far-post header from Joe Ward.

Derby's travelling fans are making most of the noise at the Swansea.com Stadium now - with Vitor Matos and Swansea in need of a response having fallen behind despite making a decent start to this contest.

Swansea's biggest issue all season has been a lack of attacking threat.

And the truth is that despite the change the Welsh club have made in the dugout, they have once again looked short of menace so far this evening.

    Norwich 1-0 Oxford

Norwich are shouting for a penalty after Jovon Makama goes down in the area but the ref waves away the claims.

Would have been a tad soft if that was given.

  13. Postpublished at 20:25 GMT 25 November

    Hull 0-0 Ipswich

It's lacking action at the MKM Stadium but perhaps the end of the first half can be more entertaining than the first half an hour or so?

Kyle Joseph's shot Hull goes wide of the mark while at the other end, Ipswich's Kasey McAteer drives high and wide.

Saints boss Tonda Eckert is looking real good to continue that winning start.

Leo Scienza bursts up field on the counter-attack and sees Finn Azaz making the run. He sends the Republic of Ireland international the ball and Azaz just tucks it away.

Eckert has his men playing a tune and it's a melody St Mary's are lapping up.

    Middlesbrough 1-2 Coventry

    Adam Lanigan
BBC Sport reporter at Riverside Stadium

An excellent game of Championship football we've got here.

Coventry have shown their class at this level with their two goals and some terrific football.

But Morgan Whittaker's goal is a sign of the spirit that Boro have been showing on a regular basis.

All played at a good tempo, and with no threat of VAR to spoil proceedings.

  19. 'So much better for Boro'published at 20:22 GMT 25 November

    Middlesbrough 1-2 Coventry

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

The last few minutes, there have been testing balls into the box, the energy is up and it's been so much better since the goal.

But I'm still very wary of Coventry - every time they turn the ball over, they seem to create a chance.

  20. goal

GOAL: Stoke 3-0 Charltonpublished at 20:21 GMT 25 November

    Sorba Thomas (34 mins)

    HE'S FOUND THE CORNER AGAIN!

In a close to replica position as where he scored his first goal, Sorba Thomas loops in another ball towards the back post and Addicks keeper Thomas Kaminski fails to react.

The Belgian just sees it bounce off the pitch and nestling into the bottom corner.

Charlton boss Nathan Jones must be incensed.
