Notts County ended Crawley's three match winning streak in all competitions with an emphatic 4-0 victory at Meadow Lane.

Goals from Scott Robertson, Alassana Jatta and Tyrese Hall's brace earned the Magpies a third win in four League Two games.

Martin Paterson's side controlled the first half and could easily have established a healthy lead by the interval.

But with Jatta and Tom Iorpenda both wasting two good chances apiece, they were forced to wait until the 45th minute before seizing the advantage.

When the breakthrough did arrive, it came courtesy of a finish worth waiting for. Robertson received the ball from captain Matt Palmer, drifted into position and bent it around the Crawley goalkeeper Harvey Davies.

A combination of County's curbed momentum and a triple substitution by Scott Lindsey saw the visitors improve after the break. But it was two players introduced by Paterson who combined to net County's second, with Hall profiting from Jayden Luker's 71st-minute breakaway by sliding a low shot home.

Four minutes later, Jatta's perseverance was rewarded when Davies was unable to block his angled drive towards the far post.

And Hall claimed his second in added time, from another Luker assist.
