  1. Postpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 5 April

    Walsall 2-3 Port Vale

Walsall's Liam Gordon was involved in the first goal that wasn't to be a goal for the Saddlers and he almost makes an impression again early into the second half.

A cross is delivered into the box and it's Gordon who finds it. He connects but it flies off target.

  2. 'Wrexham need to be quicker'published at 13:47 British Summer Time 5 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Burton

    Chris Wathan
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras

Screams from the home fans for a penalty when Steve Fletcher's shirt was pulled inside the box in that latest spell of pressure.

It's not the first time it's happened this afternoon so you can't imagine it being ignored next time. At the very least, it's injected urgency into the ground.

The fans at half-time had a few grumbles off too much of Wrexham's play being in front of Burton's well-dug defensive line and how their team needed to be quicker.

Seems like Phil Parkinson thought the same.

  3. RED CARD Tim Dieng (Cheltenham)published at 13:46 British Summer Time 5 April

    Cheltenham 0-0 Doncaster

I mentioned earlier how the last time Doncaster played at Cheltenham, in League One in 2022, they were down to 10 men after 48 minutes, well it is not Doncaster but the home side Cheltenham that are down to 10 early in the second half this time.

Jack Senior is fouled unnecessarily, earning Tim Dieng a second booking and his marching orders.

He will not be a popular man in Cheltenham, really needless from the talented attacking player giving his teammates a lot of hard work to do to stay in this one now.

  4. 'Reading need to bring their A-game'published at 13:46 British Summer Time 5 April

    Reading 0-0 Wycombe

    Mick Gooding
Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio Berkshire

There are a lot of Reading players not bringing their A-game today.

But Reading have been a little bit better than they were in the first half, you have to give them that.

  5. Postpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 5 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Burton

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at Stok Cae Ras

Owen Dodgson getting a yellow card for time-wasting, four minutes into the second half is incredible.

Burton, down to ten, have a game plan!

  6. Postpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 5 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Burton

Wrexham are trying to hammer down the Burton door but the Brewers are still holding firm.

Could be a long half for the visitors with one man less. How long can they withstand this pressure?

  7. Postpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 5 April

    Cheltenham 0-0 Doncaster

The first two shots of the second half come from the same man.

Doncaster's Luke Molyneux this time does make Joe Day work, he turns it behind for a corner which comes to nothing.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 5 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Burton

Owen Dodgson takes a month of Sundays over a free-kick on halfway for Burton and is shown a yellow for time-wasting.

You can see what the Albion tactics will be...

  9. Postpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 5 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Burton

Ryan Longman teases a ball to the back post for Wrexham but Steven Fletcher can't quite get an outstretched leg to it to divert it goalwards.

Can the hosts make their extra man count in the second half?

  10. Postpublished at 13:38 British Summer Time 5 April

    Cheltenham 0-0 Doncaster

First shot of the second 45 sees Doncaster's Luke Molyneux cut inside onto his left peg, but then fire well over into the away end.

  11. Postpublished at 13:37 British Summer Time 5 April

    Reading 0-0 Wycombe

The Wycombe players were out very early in readiness for the second half. Will they be able to find a vital opener?

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 5 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Burton

Phil Parkinson has made two changes at the break for Wrexham.

James McClean and George Dobson are withdrawn and on come Ryan Barnett and Elliot Lee.

  13. 'Outstanding first half'published at 13:35 British Summer Time 5 April

    Walsall 2-3 Port Vale

    Adam Yates
Former Vale defender on BBC Radio Stoke

For the neutral it has been an outstanding first half, not quite sure how well our hearts are taking it with the amount of ups and downs.

Credit where credit is due for Vale. I think they really struggled for the first 15-20 minutes against the two centre-forwards of Walsall and they went behind a couple of times.

But what Vale have done is they have adapted really well, they have persevered and kept going and that belief has been there.

They have put Walsall under pressure and put the ball into good areas and asked them questions.

You can see why Walsall are struggling with their form lately - they have looked very shaky defensively.

We're slowly getting back under way in the four 12:30 BST games across League One and League Two.

    Plenty at stake...

  15. As it stands in League Onepublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 5 April

With Wrexham and Wycombe both drawing at the halfway stage, the gap remains three points in the battle for second.

Reading are up into the play-off spots as things stand on goal difference, having played a game more than Bolton who visit Bristol Rovers later today.

Burton Albion are within two points of Bristol Rovers in the relegation battle. It would be a huge point if they can hold on with 10 men.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:32 British Summer Time 5 April

    Tranmere 0-0 Chesterfield

Another quiet first half in League Two.

Chesterfield have had over 60% of the possession in this one, but done little with it, only two of their five shots making the target, Luke McGee being the steady stalwart in the Tranmere net.

Only one yellow card and one corner to mention, things can only get better for at least one side, but perhaps more importantly, for the quality of this game.

  17. At the top of League Twopublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 5 April

    HT: Walsall 2-3 Port Vale

League Two top six at half-timeImage source, Rex Features

Well, well, well, would you take a look at this?

After 119 days of leading the way, Walsall are no longer top of League Two as things stand.

Port Vale are 3-2 up in a humdinger of a contest at the Bescot and will move one point clear at the summit if it stays this way.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:26 British Summer Time 5 April

    Walsall 2-3 Port Vale

    Ben GarrityImage source, Rex Features

An absolute banger of a first half concludes with Vale on top - both in the match and on the table.

Walsall's Jamille Matt found the goal first but it wasn't to be the opener.

A push onto the Vale defender meant his header was disallowed, before Lorent Tolaj grabbed the lead with a spectacular bicycle kick.

Walsall soon got themselves level after a handball gifted them Taylor Allen's penalty and they soon found themselves in front when Levi Amantchi poked in a second from close distance.

Though the Saddlers found themselves undone by a long throw yet again. This one finding skipper Ben Garrity to take Port Vale level.

Drama continued as a poor tackle from Oisin McEntee gave the Vale a penalty decision of their own, with Tolaj netting it for a double.

An immense start to this match. More, please.

  19. Postpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 5 April

    Walsall 2-3 Port Vale

The clock is ticking on this first half but the spectators won't want it to end. It's been breathtaking stuff.

The sprinkler system must agree, it's just turned on to put a pause in play and keep the players on the pitch a little while longer.

This match really does have everything.

Six minutes into injury time now.

  20. 'Walsall have in no way been outmuscled'published at 13:22 British Summer Time 5 April

    Walsall 2-3 Port Vale

    Andrew Dawkins
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Port Vale have had plenty if possession, so they will point to that.

But Walsall have in no way been outmuscled by Vale, and they haven't really had too many clear cut chances.
