The win was Truro's biggest since being promoted to the National League in the summer

Truro City ended their run of four straight National League defeats in emphatic fashion with a 5-0 thumping of 10-man Morecambe.

The hosts went ahead in the 24th minute, Will Dean sending over a cross to the back post which Connor Riley-Lowe headed home.

Morecambe suffered another setback in the 42nd minute when on-loan Arsenal defender Maldini Kacurri was sent off. Already on a yellow card, the Albania international brought down Dominic Johnson-Fisher to earn a second booking.

The hosts doubled their lead seven minutes after the break. This time Riley-Lowe was the architect, charging down the left and into the area before drawing goalkeeper Archie Mair and laying the ball off for Luke Jephcott to tap home.

Johnson-Fisher poked home Truro's third in the 63rd minute and Jephcott turned in number four 12 minutes later.

Jephcott was denied by the crossbar in added time, but there was still time for Aiden Marsh to score a debut goal as the hosts put their fellow strugglers to the sword.
