Jamie Cooke's double made the difference as Halifax beat Aldershot to record a third successive win in the National League.
The improving hosts took the lead in the seventh minute when Will Harris punished a defensive error and it was 2-0 four minutes later when Cooke beat goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst.
The visitors pulled one back just before half-time when a short corner routine led to a low ball across goal which was poked home by James Clarridge.
However, Cooke's second of the afternoon – a high shot into the net in the 62nd minute – made it 3-1 and Josh Hmami made the points safe 15 minutes later with Halifax's fourth goal.
Aldershot scored again in added time through substitute Hady Ghandour but it was too late for the visitors.
