Substitute Jonathan David scored twice to give Lille a 3-1 win at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
The visitors were awarded a controversial penalty in the 71st minute when Koke appeared to make light contact with Benjamin Andre's foot in the hosts' box.
Despite protests from Atletico's players and a video assistant referee (VAR) review, the referee stuck with his decision and David calmly converted from the spot to give Lille a 2-1 lead.
The Canada forward put the French side out of reach when his 89th-minute shot took a deflection to wrongfoot Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Former Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez had opened the scoring in the eighth minute when he pounced on a mistake from Ousmane Toure, who hesitated on the ball before selling short a backpass.
But Edon Zhegrova pulled the French side level after an hour with a brilliant left-footed curl that looped over the head of Oblak.
The result leaves Lille with six points following their impressive 1-0 victory over Atletico's rivals Real Madrid earlier this month.
Diego Simeone's side, meanwhile, have won just one of their three Champions League outings this season and they will face another stern test when they travel to Ligue 1 leaders Paris St-Germain on 6 November.
