    St Mirren 0-0 Brann

Brann continue to pen St Mirren in, but some last-ditch defending sees the hosts scramble clear.

There were a couple of great blocks in there from Alex Gogic and Jaden Brown.

A cheap goal to lose. And not for the first time.

Kilmarnock fluff a clearance and then give the ball away cheaply on the edge of the area.

It's slipped to Romsaas and he slides the ball under the despairing Robby McCrorie.

No chances yet but Brann dominating possession. They look quite slick.

Felix Myhre is the playmaker in the middle of the park and is pretty classy. Atmosphere fairly subdued apart from the posse of visitors, who are making a fair racket.

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Tromso

A throw on the right results in Kyle Vassell turning his man in the box and he falls to the deck, appealing for a penalty. Nothing doing, says the referee.

It looks like Kilmarnock have changed shape.

  5. Postpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 8 August

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Tromso

Kilmarnock made a change at the break.

Fraser Murray is on for the hosts, with Bruce Anderson taken off at half-time in his first start for the club.

    St Mirren 0-0 Brann

    Chances at both ends.

First, Bard Finne gently lobs his shot straight at Ellery Balcombe when he should really score, and St Mirren go straight down the other end.

Mikael Mandron is in on goal but can't quite get the ball under control and the opportunity slips away.

  9. Strong start from Brannpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 8 August

    St Mirren 0-0 SK Brann

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at SMISA Stadium

A clear step up in quality here. SK Brann have had all of the ball and they're pinging it around with real confidence.

No sense of bedding into the game early. Perhaps being halfway into their season is helping.

St Mirren, though, aren't being overly stretched, keeping their shape and hoping to start to imposing themselves when they can get on the ball.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 8 August

    St Mirren 0-0 Brann

Marcus Fraser hacks down a Brann attacker rather needlessly, and is duly shown a yellow card.

The Buddies captain has something of a tightrope to walk now.

    Oh, now then.

Former Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack, who is a free agent at present, is currently in Paisley watching St Mirren.

  12. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 1-0 Tromsopublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 8 August

A scoreline that Derek McInnes certainly would have taken, but a largely forgettable first half.

After the early Kyle Vassell goal - the skipper punishing some hesitancy in the visiting defence - the hosts struggled to test goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard and it was the away side who found more joy getting up the pitch.

But for the slow, patient approach that the Norwegians took, they also only sent Robby McCrorie sprawling just once.

    Plenty to improve upon.

That is a real name, I've checked.

St Mirren v SK Brann (19:45)

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Smisa Stadium

A recent Scandinavian addition to Scottish football has just arrived in his seat to cast an eye over Aberdeen's next league opponents, St Mirren.

The Dons host Stephen Robinson's side on Sunday and manager Jimmy Thelin is clearly keen to find cracks in their excellent start to the campaign.

The vast majority around him hope he heads north with much to consider.

It's a wonderful atmosphere already, set up perfectly for another brilliant night inside this stadium.

  18. 'Killie need more control'published at 19:40 British Summer Time 8 August

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Tromso

    Cammy Bell
Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Tromso are happy to play the ball, play in the thirds, progress slowly up the pitch.

Kilmarnock need a little more control. They've never controlled this half for long spells.

  19. Postpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 8 August

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Tromso

Liam Polworth plays a nice one-two with Kyle Vassell before attempting to slip the ball through to Bruce Anderson, but it's just cut out by the Tromso defence.

After the flying start, it's become a little muted in Ayrshire.

  20. Postpublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 8 August

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Tromso

Despite enjoying a fair share of the ball in the past 10 minutes or so, Tromso haven't tested Robby McCrorie much at all.

    Just once, in fact.
