Manchester United and Arsenal are the two clubs that have - on paper anyway - the hardest opening fixtures.
Mikel Arteta and Ruben Amorim could be under pressure from the off...
After finishing 15th last season - their worst-ever Premier League campaign - Manchester United will be hoping to bounce back from the debacle in manager Ruben Amorim's first full season in charge.
But they face a formidable opposition in Arsenal to start things off on the opening weekend, with the Gunners visiting Old Trafford in a 16:30 BST kick-off on 17 August.
Arsenal, of course, have finished runners-up for the past three seasons and will be hoping to go one better this time - hopefully having signed a striker who can deliver a handful of goals this season and help end their 21-year title drought.
Only Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola (eight wins from nine matches) has a better success rate than Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on the opening day - winning four of his five league openers with the Gunners.

To say it’s always going to be a tough season is an understatement as a Leeds fan, but looking at that fixture list I think it might be the nicest fixtures we could’ve got.

Kerkez to face his old club (assuming transfer goes through) in the opening game!

At the moment it's set for August 23 at 15:00 BST. But that time and date could change.
What a fixture on the first Sunday of the season.
Champions Liverpool will host the first game of the 2025-26 season when they face Bournemouth in the Friday evening kick-off.
Newly-promoted Sunderland welcome West Ham United to the north east on the Saturday for what will be their first Premier League fixture since 2016-17, while fellow promoted sides Leeds United and Burnley face Everton and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
The first Sunday of the campaign brings a mouth-watering tie as Mikel Arteta's Arsenal head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.

As a Palace fan, I just can’t wait to see the fixtures and for the first time have the pleasure of going ‘that one’ll need to move for Europe, that one too’.

Is it true that the top 6 from the previous season can't meet on the opening and closing fixtures of the next season?

An increasingly hectic football calendar means this season is bookended by a pair of World Cups - the inaugural 32-team Club World Cup this summer, and the more familiar international tournament in 2026.
As ever, keeping players fit will be crucial for managers across the league and with nine Premier League clubs competing in Europe as well this year, for almost half of them, that will be even more tricky.
"The start date of 16 August allows for the maximum player rest time available - 83 clear days - from the end of the 2024-25 season," the Premier League said.
"The season end date of 24 May 2026 ensures the Premier League season finishes ahead of the Fifa 2026 World Cup call-up period."
But not all clubs will get those 83 clear days.
Should Manchester City or Chelsea reach the Club World Cup final, they could be faced with playing the first game of the 2025-26 season just 34 days after ending the 2024-25 one.
There should at least be some respite over Christmas and new year with the schedule ensuring no two rounds of fixtures take place within 60 hours of each other - and no matches on Christmas Eve.

Remember, however the fixtures arrive, they have been targeted specifically to harm your team and help your rivals. That applies to everyone, remember.

Haha, thanks guys.
A big welcome to Maisie Gallen and Adwaidh Rajan, too. They're helping me and Ben with the big fixtures announcement which is ONLY 15 MINUTES AWAY!
