  2. 'Belgium wouldn’t worry me too much'published at 19:13 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Ukraine 0-0 Belgium

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

At the back Belgium lack pace, you would fancy your chances going against them.

Ukraine were unfortunate not to score and they wouldn’t worry me too much if you play against them.

  3. 'Finishing top of the group was not a priority for either of these nations'published at 19:12 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Slovakia 1-1 Romania

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

I think for these two nations, finishing top of the group wasn't the priority. Now that Romania have finished top of the group, it's just incredible really.

  4. 'Belgium got the job done'published at 19:11 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Ukraine 0-0 Belgium

    Stephen Warnock
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Quite a cagey game. I thought Ukraine would have gone for it more, I did think they would have thrown everything at the final ten minutes but they didn't. Belgium were very poor, but they got the job done and progressed through.

RobertSmallbone: Have long said that 3rd place teams shouldn’t qualify for next round Now we see that Ukraine will finish bottom but with more points than some other 3rd place teams yet they’ll go home whilst others qualify. Madness

  6. 'Both teams did enough'published at 19:09 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Slovakia 1-1 Romania

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales defender on BBC Two

As we said at half-time, both teams really went for it in the first half. Towards the end you could see that neither team wanted to risk it.

They did enough today to go through and they are celebrating with their fans which is great to see again.

  7. 'You can't knock Romania'published at 19:08 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Slovakia 1-1 Romania

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales defender on BBC Two

Romania started off positive in the tournament and even in today's game they threw a lot of balls into the box and that got them the goal. You can't knock them at all because they have played well.

I know what it's like, you have worked hard to go through and you don't know what to expect coming into a group that has Belgium. But well done, they got through and enjoy it.

  9. 'Belgium don't seem to enjoy playing with each other'published at 19:06 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Ukraine 0-0 Belgium

    Jose Fonte
    Portugal defender on BBC One

France will be a tough nut to crack for Belgium.

With Belgium I was very disappointed with them, I was expecting much more willingness to go and win the game - they don't seem to enjoy playing with each other.

  10. 'Belgium were very poor'published at 19:05 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Ukraine 0-0 Belgium

    Wayne Rooney
Former England striker on BBC One

Belgium were very poor. If that is how we are going to see them in the knockouts, they have no chance.

The game-plan was good from Ukraine, but unfortunately they couldn't get a goal at the end.

  12. 'Belgium struggled to entertain'published at 19:03 British Summer Time 26 June

    FT: Ukraine 0-0 Belgium

    Stephen Warnock
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

England fans, we think we have problems but look at this Belgium team, they have plenty of problems themselves. They are very slow in the way they play, particularly in the middle of the park where it is very pragmatic. Yes they have the pace in the wide areas but they struggled to entertain throughout tonight and the other games.

To be honest, I don't think Belgium look nearly as formidable as they once did. France will certainly fancy themselves to reach the quarters.

  16. Romania finish top - what it means for Englandpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 26 June

Group E's final day ends with every team in the same position they started - and Romania go through as group winners.

Slovakia are through as one of the best third-placed sides and - along with the Netherlands - are now a possible last-16 opponent for England. Who the Three Lions will play depends on the results in Group F's matches.

Belgium are through as runners-up and will play France, while Ukraine fail to get out of the group.
