Always thought Galatasaray away was going to be the most difficult of our fixtures. As usual, injuries come at the wrong time. With this format a loss wouldn't be the most devastating result. Hopefully we can pull ourselves together in the second half. If the youngsters can play in that atmosphere then they can play anywhere.

I don't know what Ange has said, but the players were not listening. They have come out and been sloppy straight away.

These fans close to us behind Konstantinos Tzolakis must have a lifetime supply of throat sweeties. They are absolutely howling at everything in here in what is an incredible, constant noise.

Crucially for Rangers, some of that noise is beginning to turn on the home side who are lacking something in the final third.

For Philippe Clement's side, that was impressive. A nice balance of solidity and threat. All it lacked was a finish to one or two glorious chances.

What a strike [from Yunus Akgun].

Could Spurs have closed it down quicker? Potentially. But I think you have to admire the strike.

This is where Ange needs to adapt. We have some injures, we’ve rested some players, plus we’re away at a difficult venue. We needed to be compact, organised & difficult to break down. We shouldn’t have used our usual high line. We need to adapt in games like this. I’m chuffed Will Lankshear has got his first goal.

It has been so comfortable for Rangers.

I've not been overly impressed by Olympiakos. The atmosphere sounds really intense but their style of play is not.

They are really playing into the hands of Rangers. They are very predictable and not causing any problems.

Rangers will be very happy at half-time at 0-0 but maybe rueing those early Dessers chances.

Let’s be calm and realistic. This is a fantastic run out for the kids at a hostile Galatasaray away. I am confident in Ange. We will win this trophy. It's a brilliant learning curve. It is simply all part of the process.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November

    Galatasaray 3-1 Tottenham

Not the best half from Tottenham. They'll have to improve in the second period if they want to keep that 100% Europa League record in tact.

Referee Sascha Stegemann blows his whistle and that's it for the first half.

Of course there's been much said this season about the way Tottenham play and how it does often lead to them shipping goals.

But they have given the ball away so cheaply at times tonight and they'll have to improve that in the second half.

We're into three minutes of added time.
