Bright idea! Lize Kop probably always had that under control, but Ruby Mace lashes at a loose ball from around 30 yards out and it goes just wide of the far post.

  4. Leicester slow to release the ballpublished at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC iPlayer

I think the issue with Leicester, when they're going forward, they're playing really good play but they're slow to release the ball and they're slow when it comes to the final third in making that decision.

    Tottenham 1-0 Leicester

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC iPlayer

It's a great opportunity for young players. Now the way the game's growing, it doesn't matter how young you are, if you're good enough you're going to play and you're going to get those opportunities and I think the youngsters today have been so impressive.

    Tottenham 1-0 Leicester

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC iPlayer

[Nelly Las] has been absolutely brilliant and she's got such a bright future within the women's game. I loved it because she didn't have that fear going forward. She's a worker and she was willing to go forward and also defend for her team to so she had a great game today.

    Ohhh!

Drew Spence nearly makes a spectacular mistake as a Leicester pass goes across the Spurs box. She blocks it, but the ball is carried towards Missy Goodwin.

Goodwin can't beat Lize Kop, though. The Leicester player is now down and receiving some treatment.

  19. Postpublished at 13:45 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tottenham 1-0 Leicester

Close! A good opportunity for Spurs as Martha Thomas races down the left and sends a strike towards goal, forcing Janina Leitzig to palm it away.

She may have meant for that to be a cross...

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:42 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tottenham 1-0 Leicester

Tottenham make the first change of the game, bringing on Martha Thomas for Maite Oroz.

She hasn't scored since December 2023. Could she end that run today?
